Resident Evil Five Game Review
A brief review of Resident Evil five.
It’s the year 2009 and the resident evil series continues on, perhaps not for the best depending on your opinion. Resident Evil 5 is now set in Africa minus the zombies, now to me a resident evil game is just done correct without zombies. Now all we have is something reminiscent of 28 days later really, still there are many more flaws than just that which is a shame. Chris Redfield seems to have been bulking up on the steroids since we last saw him, that just makes the whole game even more unrealistic. If you compare him now to what he looked like in the first resident evil game, it’s a very big difference. I would expect some change but nothing like his bulging biceps in resident evil 5, these flaws at the moment are really just small points but ones which stand out. In this game you now have a partner by the name of Sheva who if you play the game alone is more of a hindrance than a help, if you so much as scrape your knee she will come running towards you with a can of first aid spray. Now when you have to run from your partner in a game you know things have gone horribly wrong somewhere, if you play with a friend or online it turns the whole game on its head. I would never play this game on my own as it would ruin the whole coop experience.
Throughout the game you and your partner are required to do tasks together which some consist of quick time events, oh yes those lovely little parts in a game where you have to mash buttons to survive. In the end boss battle my arm nearly locked up due to all the button mashing I had to do to stop Sheva falling off a cliff, and if you fail at this or if your partner fails you get to do it all over again. Imagine my joy at this when the person I was playing this with died three times in a row. Still even with these flaws it is actually an enjoyable game to play, the controls though can be difficult to master at first especially for those who have not played this type of game before. Once you have the hang of them the game doesn’t become any easier, it just becomes more manageable to maneuver your character. Certain enemies in the game will make you want to rip your hair out and through the controller at the screen, those who have played the game will know which ones I mean. Veteran bad guy Albert Wesker makes an appearance like he usually does, I was a bit disappointed he didn’t have the same gruff voice. Now those who don’t want to know who this next character is please look to the next paragraph as this is a spoiler. The other character I had a flaw with was former S.T.A.R.S member Jill Valentine, she is not blond she is meant to be a brunette. This totally ruined the experience for me and I sat with a pout on my face all the way through the fmv.
Again these flaws are minor but will make a difference to fans, once you start changing the essence of a series like resident evil you risk the loss of respect from the fans. The game is not horribly bad but isn’t amazing either, it is worth the money if you like the resident evil series if not then don’t buy it.

Hi again…wow im real late on commenting cuz u wrote this in april…oh well.I’ll say this again, I love the article because i agree on so much of your points.Jill was so much prettier as a brunette. It gives her that tough look. But the blonde on her makes her look older and less of a threat *of course…with those guns anyone would be scared*. Plus, I dont really care for the characters Chris and Sheeva *besides the fact Chris is Claire’s brother*, but i am a big fan of Jill, and it was dissapointing to see her having a change in her look that made her not look like the classic Jill Valentine.
Wow that was long…good article ^_^!
Wow thanks very much your comments are very warming ^.^
