Graphics:
It’s almost hard to believe that this is for Sega Genesis. The backgrounds, characters, weapons, bosses, enemies, and so forth are all nicely done with smooth details and in varying colors as well as size. There is blood, guts, and gore all over this game. The graphics are a complete bloodbath… in a good way.
Controls:
Nice and smooth, you’ll learn them very fast. Some might say otherwise because of RoboCop’s handling – Hey, what did you expect? He is RoboCop, it’s not so easy for someone like him to dodge bullets and what not, the portrayal here is therefore pretty realistic because in real life, a cop who is half human/half machine wouldn’t exactly be able to do those things as well as we can.
Gameplay:
Pick up a weapon, sit back, relax, and shoot everywhere and everything. There’s no puzzles to solve here, no stalling, no delaying whatsoever. You’ll plow through enemies, robots, OCP, terminators, blood, guts, gore, violence, disgust, and much more grim details than you can think of in ten levels that make up this awesome game. Many familiar foes will make their appearance to do battle with you including ED-209, RoboCop 2/Cain, T-800s, and more.
Overall:
“RoboCop vs. The Terminator” is very well thought of and put together by its developers. It’s bloody, it’s cruel, complete with amazing graphics and gameplay. There’s not much replay value to the game at all, once you beat it, that’s it. There’s no special features or options to unlock here. Nevertheless, it is a good ten to fifteen hours to play through. Just be cautioned, this game is extremely, extremely violent and the atmosphere and tone of the game is very unsettling, this is the “RoboCop” franchise and the “Terminator” franchise combined that we’re talking about here.
