Skyrim Game Review

Overall
Skyrim is the fifth installment in the elder scrolls series. Every one of them has pleased me greatly. Skyrim is set in the world of Tamriel, in the country of, you guessed it, Skyrim. You can play as a variety of races from the proud High elves to the stealthy Khajjit. Sadly it fails to captivate me the same way oblivion did although it is still an amazing game!

Graphics

The graphics are incredibly high definition and very immersive. You really do feel like you are walking in a different world, although occasionally there will be some visual glitches like people disappearing so you see floating armor or the walls turning hot pink.

Character customization

Amazing customization! Only gave half a star off because of the complexity to learn. You can easily mess up your character indefinitely with one click of a button. You can make your character almost anything!

Main Quest Line

Quite good but I prefer Joining the guilds (Thieves guild, Dark Brotherhood, companions, College of winterhold etc…) as they tailor to your talents. It is semi engaging and helps you get advanced so most side quests are a breeze.

Side Quests

Extremely engaging as you could be walking down a street when a thief walks up to you hands you a package threatens you and runs off. Or you could hear a rumor in the local tavern and follow it to a Deadric Cult!

Combat

There are so many ways to attack. An assassin character could sneak up on their victim while they sleep or snipe them with an arrow from a balcony! A warrior could charge some bandits in the woods and pulverize them with his Battleaxe or Great sword.  Another bonus is finishing moves! If you kill someone an amazing animation may accompany it!
