Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the first game of The Old Republic series, which has now developed into the epic MMORPG "The Old Republic". The game is a mix of RPG, strategy and action.
Gameplay
It contains most of the aspects of an Role Playing game. You can roam around not only on one world, but many different types of worlds such as Tatooine, Dantooine and Kashyyk. You can wield a blaster weapon, sword weapon or as expected, a lightsaber. Different types of armour is also available. You can move using the traditional WASD keys. When you engage an enemy in battle, the game freezes, and you can choose your strategy. You can disable this setting though. One of the best features of this game is your ability to choose between the light side and the dark side. Both sides having different endings.

Main Characters
You – Discovered as a fighter aboard a ship of the republic under attack. After you escape with Bastila and Carth Onasi, you engage in a mission to destroy Darth Malak and the star forge..
Bastila – A jedi who has a special connection with your character. She assists you in most of the missions.
Carth Onasi - A paranoid person who follows you around. He is your commander on the ship.
Darth Malak – The Darth Vader of this game. Basically the evil guy that tries to destroy the jedi and conquer the galaxy.
Storyline
This is one of my favourite games, mostly due to its amazing storyline. It has been awarded many awards and a 90%+ ratings on many game sites. After you escape from the afore mentioned ship, you engage in a mission to find the star forge and Dath Malak. You meet and make many friends (and enemies along the way). Including a wookie. After you do meet Darth Malak, a shocking detail is revealed.
