Mario Kart Reveiw
Mario Kart for the WII.
Everyone was edging for a Mario Kart game to come out for the Wii and on April 28, 2008 it did. Mario Kart Wii features brand new characters from other games like Super Mario Galaxy and DK Jungle Climber. Examples of other characters are Baby Peach and Dry Bones. This game also introduces a variety of new vehicles, for example there are many Motorcycles that you can ride. In the game you start off with six standard vehicles and as you progress you unlock more. There are also 16 new tracks that are from other Mario Games, and there are also many new battle tracks. One of the most interesting new battle tracks is the Delfino Pier which is from the game Super Mario Sunshine. Three new items are introduced in this game, the Blooper which is also from Super Mario Sunshine, the Giant Mushroom from Super Mario Bros 3 and the POW Block from the original Super Mario Bros. Battle mode is also been modified so that you can play on teams of ten and are timed. Being timed is a downside; however being on teams is a plus. The online for Mario Kart Wii is pretty exciting in some ways and dreadful in others. When you are online you can play with people in your neighbourhood, your region, or around the world. You are also able to enter tournaments online and compete for the top rank. The downside is you get points, if you run out of points you are now a guest server and cannot enter tournaments. To help you along the way you start off with 5000 points which is plenty. Mario Kart Wii is a great game with many new features and unlockables. It takes the idea of Go-Karting to the next level of entertainment.
