Terminator Salvation Guide

Here are some tips to help you complete Terminator Salvation. This guide may contain spoilers.

1.       Use the shotgun for the flying Wasps, as it is much quicker and one shot can usually kill a Wasp from an average range.

2.       If you don’t have a shotgun at hand then ensure that you shoot in short, sharp bursts when fighting Wasps. They are easier to hit when they have steadied themselves by opening up their wings.

3.       Never waste grenade launcher ammo, RPG ammo or grenades on Wasps as they are incredibly hard to hit with such slow weapons.

4.       If you’re severely pinned down then try blind firing the shotgun towards a swarm of Wasps, which at the very least might deter them for a while, or you might be lucky and hit one.

5.       When fighting Spiders try to flank round the back of them by flicking between cover. The most effective gun for shooting Spiders in the back is the heavy machinegun.

6.       If you can’t flank round the back of Spiders easily then try to hit them on the roof with a grenade which will usually kill them in one.

7.       If you’ve been forced into a tight corner with several Spiders then shoot the floor with the RPG (which can kill a Spider in one hit anyway) and the splash damage may allow you to kill more than one.

8.       When fighting the Series 600s (the “traditional” Terminators) don’t waste normal grenades and ammo on them. The only weapons which deal sufficient amounts of damage are the grenade launcher, the RPG and pipe bombs.

9.       Generally you will have to spend 2 rockets, grenades from the grenade launcher or pipe bombs in order to get the 600s down to a level of health where the chest becomes exposed. At this time you should try shooting it in the chest with a heavy machine gun, although one standard grenade will do the trick too.

10.   When fighting any enemy, excluding aerostats, you should try to stick in cover as much as possible, Try getting enemies jammed in between you and your team mates on opposite sides. Once they are caught in between the two groups be patient and wait for them to be distracted by your team mates and open fire in relative safety.

11.   On the levels which you are in vehicle then try to prioritise your targets. First you need to take out the Moto-Terminators (the motorcycles), then take out the Hunters if they’re shooter at you. Anti-aircraft cannons should always take priority, using the heavier artillery to destroy them quickly. 600s which are close to your vehicle should then begin to be taken out once bigger threats have been killed. Finally, you should kill aerostats and Spiders.
