Terraria Game Review
Overall
I think Terraria is a great game overall, it is a classic 2d sandbox game with a great variety of monsters and items. Spelunking into caves forms the core of the game, although there are many other things to do.
Graphics
The graphics are fairly low definition 2d graphics, and even though they lack reality are still immersive. You play in third person.
Character customization
Not the best. You can only change color, hair, and face. It also has a randomize function so you can create a fresh new look to work off!
Exploration
It is very fun to go underground because of mobs, dungeons, etc… It has a lot of diversity so it takes a long time to get bored from spelunking. There is also above ground exploration which is also quite fun should you wander into a jungle or tainted land!
Building
It is not as free as say Minecraft where you have 3D graphics, but still has some variety because of the number of blocks.
Combat
Pretty basic, but for a 2D game it is quite nice. There around 5 different styles of sword fighting and there are many different types of other weapons each with their own styles. Some examples are Blowgun (seeds), Bow (arrows, fire arrows etc…), Shurikans(one time use), Boomerang(returns to you after a medium distance, can find enchanted ones). It takes some time to become accustomed to each type of weapon.
