Why Magic?
There are many reasons one would like to train the skill of magic. One of them is that spells can be cast from a distance keeping the caster relatively safe. Also armour (commonly used in pvp) is weak against damage. Do you have to fight that guy wearing full rune? Use magic! armour has a low magic resistence. 

Since full armour is weared so much in pvp some people make their character a pure. These people train their magic and try to leave other combat skills (like attack and defence) as low as possible. This way they stay at a low combat level but still have a high damage output, this way they can easily fool others by letting them think you’re easy prey.

The way form 1-99:

lvl 1-11
Use Wind Rush! It is a spell that gives 2.7 exp per cast, but since it can be casted completely free with an air staff it makes a great spell to begin with. This spell can be casted on like chickes or other weak monsters.

lvl 11-25
Wind strike, buy some mind runes and try casting wind strike next. From 11-13 you can beeter fight goblins but from 13-25 move to the wizards tower and fight the demon on the top floor.

lvl 25-33
Move to fist of guthix! it is a game that can be found in the gamers grotto north of falador. As you enter a game free runes will be given to you so make use of them. At lower level you are not likely to win so you just might aswell teleport to the midde and get yourself kill asap for higher exp per hour. The only downside of FOG is that your exp is halved.

lvl 33-43
From here on you have 2 choices, the first is to continue training in FOG.

Secondly you can buy law runes, around 300gp each, and wield an air staff npo worries for the price! now go to the chaos temple north-west from falador just past goblin village, there you can find wine of zamorak worth 2,3k hower if you try to pick it up the monks will atack you. What you do is use telekentic grab on the wine this will make you about 2k profit per rune you buy and give you exp. The exp rate is lower that using FOG though.

lvl 43-55
Use superheat item! this will give you exp for the spell + exp you would normally get from smelting. Use the spell on oren in your inventory to make bars. Currently this method will lose you money unless crafting steel bars which require smithing lvl 35.

lvl 55-99
Now begins the hard part because you are only 0.3% on your way from lvl 1 to lvl 99, but dont worry use high alchemy from here on. This will cost you as currently there are no items that generate profit. Buy nature runes and use high alchemy on gold bars. At time of writing they cost 50gp and will give 160gp when high alched which make the loss less.
