Uncharted 2 is the critically acclaimed sequel to the first Uncharted Game Drake’s Fortune.  We follow Nathan Drake on another adventure in search of another mysterious treasure.

The story is a lot of fun, I enjoyed the story of this game even more than Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and I really enjoyed Drake’s Fortune.  It just seemed like Naughty Dog decided to take the story and make it even bigger than it already was and that was something that impressed me.   I won’t spoil the game, but the story is very well done and I am doing multiple playthroughs of the game.

The gameplay is fun, the controls are definitely improved from the last game and it’s a lot of fun to play.  The puzzles are challenging, I only got stuck on one or two but you can figure them out if you try to see what works.  The game controls are good and not hard to pick up.

The graphics of this game are visually stunning, everything looks really great.  It looks even better than the first game.  All the set pieces look great and this is a stunning PlayStation 3 game. This is also an exclusive game that takes advantage of the PlayStation 3’s capabilities and it looks awesome.

The voice acting is pot on with Nolan North as Nathan “Nate” Drake.  His performance is even better than the first game and he did a great job and his character also has a lot of development so that’s very good.

Emily Rose is also great as Elena Fisher, she also improved in her acting and character development compared to the last game.

Richard McGonagle voices Victor Sullivan and he too does a great job.  He’s not in the game as much as before but he’s still a good character.

Claudia Black voices new character Cloe Frazer, a woman who helps Nate Drake pull of a heist.  She’s a great actress and she did a really good job in this game.

Steve Valentine voices Harry Flynn, a man who betrayed Drake after the heist.  He’s also very good and I enjoyed his role in this game.

The multiplayer aspect of the game is fun, but there aren’t as many people online since Uncharted 3 came out, but you can still find people to play against and it is a fun aspect of the game.  However, I have had connection drops while I was playing online, I haven’t experienced lag though.

As a note to parents this game has stronger profanity, violence, blood and some adult situations.

As a note, if you buy the game of the Year Edition, the DLC voucher has expired.  If you buy the double-pack the DLC is set to expire very soon, ask around to see if they changed the expiration date, I managed to get the DLC for free from the PlayStation Network so I didn’t pay for anything.

If you have a PlayStation 3 or are thinking of buying one, you have to get this game.  It’s definitely a great title.  Greatest game of all time is a bit of a stretch, but I do love this game a lot.  If you really love videogames, you’ll want this game in your collection, if you’re just curious, give it a rental.  It’s well worth your time and money and I had been wanting to play this for awhile, and I wasn’t disappointed by it.
