A New Legend of Zelda Game

Coming up with a possible new Zelda game that hasn’t been thought about by anyone with a basic plot and overview.

We’ve seen the Legend of Zelda over the years made by Nintendo on just about every system except from the Virtual Boy. The story has been similar with the idea of Link stopping Ganon from taking over Hyrule and obtaining the pieces of the triforce. A few exceptions of the rule would be for Zelda 2 with Shadow Link, Minish Cap, and the Four Swords games with Vatti, Majora’s Mask with Majora, and of course in Phantom Hourglass having a completely different villain. Looking closely at the situation, you have to wonder what else is there to do?

After Twilight Princess came out, what else could be done to enhance the story and how in the world can you bring Ganondorf back into the picture? My thoughts are leave him look to be dead and not even appear just for a change of pace or come out and declare him an immortal. Think about it, how many times do you kill Ganon and he keeps coming back? It’s the same deal in Castlevania with Dracula, at least early on before the Aria and Dawn of Sorrow games and skipping Lament of Innocence. In fact, it also draws as well with Sigma from Mega Man X constantly coming back until X8.

As far as what to do with a new Zelda game, perhaps maybe a new villain that would be much different. How about an actual Dark Link character? My idea of the look would be black tunic, red eyes, holding a dark blade powered with an evil triforce dubbed the Triforce of Darkness. The idea really is that it would be more of a mirror world.

The plot would be something like Link has gotten away from Hyrule on a trip and gets sucked into a bizarre world. Now the idea is somewhat like how Superman has a backwards counterpart in Bizarro and it’s like he’s in Bizzaro World. There is no mention of Hyrule at all though it looks similar. The townspeople think Link is out to terrorize them because of Dark Link’s evil intentions. In fact, some have been calling for their hero to come down and battle the Dark Link but the twist is that the hero looks awfully like Ganondorf. After a battle and defeating him, he doesn’t deliver the final blow and makes the townspeople wonder why he wouldn’t do such a thing.

Ok, maybe not the most idealistic plot in the world but it could work if done right. What was seen was the general idea behind it. The game itself will consist of eight dungeons and then going into a dark castle looking very close to Hyrule castle. The major boss would be Dark Link himself and it would be a sword fight to the end. There will be shadow link clones in the palace itself before facing off with the major boss.

If you want to add a special mode just for a different end, you could have it play as the guy who looks like Ganondorf though his name doesn’t necessarily have to be that but should look like him for this purpose only. It wouldn’t even have Link in it at all and just be a special mode.

Well, that’s about it as far as a new Zelda game. It could work and be interesting but only if it’s Nintendo making it. We don’t need another incident with games like you saw on the Phillips CD-I designed to upset Zelda fans. This would be possibly a different direction as far as a different villain going and would be good to experiment to see what reaction you would get.

seeing as though the legend of zelda keeps coming back, and the generation of link continues, a good game would be to have to story line in the future, when it is advanced. It would be really cool too. Lol his “horse” Epona could be a Mustang. Your story is good but a huge new twist needs to be put into the story. They have done games with a mirror world and the twilight, so thats kind of a used idea.

Ganondorf has actually only been killed in three of the games. Those games are Twilight Princess, a Link to the Past, and the original Legend of Zelda. In all of the other games he was sealed away, or was turned to stone like in the Wind Waker. There is also a time split after Ocarina of Time, so there are two Ganondorfs existing in separate timelines. also in a Link to the Past after Link killed Ganon he probably used the triforce the wish that the events of the game never happened, so it allows the original game to take place because ganon was still sealed away in the dark realm.

I have been thinking as well:
Vatti has yet to emerge onto the major stage. So Link leaves Hyrule after Twilight Princess and ventures to a new land. There he learns that the people live in fear of Vatti. After going through dungeons and finally making it to Vatti, Link is in for a suprise. After completing enough gametime to last all of Twilight Princess, Link now has to travel back to the Hyrule of old where he completes the dungeons from Ocarina of Time. Since this is years after, every dungeon has changed whether it became run-down or inhabited. After collecting the three stones, Link once again travels forward in time. The land falls into darkness and the hero is forgotton. 50 some-odd years later Link emerges as the fierce diety, and destroys Ganon.

I myself believe that this whole Legend of Zelda thing has gone totally otu of wack. The series is really screwed. It’s a great game, but the story board has really gotten twisted. The first was obviously The Ocarina of Time. My cousin says he thinks it goese in this order.

    The Ocarina of Time
    Majora’s Mask

And then it goes to Link’s desendents?

    Twilight Princess
    Minishcap
    Wind Waker?

I have never played the oricle of seasons, the one with the four swords, or other ones I’ve failed to mention. So I don’t know if his tale continued or not. It seems that much is missing. And what’s with his decendents looking exactly like him? If it is to be believed, shouldn’t they look different? And what ever happened to any of their parents? In every story he had guardians not parents. True it ads a bit of mystery, but the stories always follow the same pattern. He- whether it’s Link or his decendants- are raised by someone (the deku tree, A grama, a grampa, or a swordsman that’s not even related. Then something disrupts his peaceful life that has to do with the good of the world, and he is the only one that can do anyhting about it. In Twilight Princess he had the help of a group of people in Telma’s bar and in Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of time he had the help of majic people, but did any of u notice that he’s the only one plus Zelda that can kill the bad guy(s)? Why is it called The Legend of Zelda anyhow? Link is the real hero in every game.

All I’m saying is that I think if they were going to make a series about a boy and his adventures, they might as well finish his story before going on to his children’s children’s children- and so on. It may even be more interesting if they came up witrh something a bit different. Like if Link were fighting evil inside himself.

Your idea (article at top of the page) was really good. You may even want to be an author. That’s my goal atleast.

    Keep up the good work!

P.s. Why should the person look like Ganon?

P.s.s He always goes through temples to fight bosses and gather something to help him defeate the evil. I like how they did the Twilight Princess, because of all of the extra stuff. Why not add a little more to the adventure than that? In my oppinion, it would make it alot more interesting.
