Beaver Race in Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask

When you explore the area of Great Bay Coast in Legend Of Zelda Majora’s Mask, you may find the beaver races. If you finish the beaver race, you can get another bottle to help you throughout this Legend Of Zelda game.

Go through the cave at Great Bay Coast and you will go into the second area of the beach. It’s here that you will find the entrance to the beaver races game in Legend Of Zelda Majora’s Mask. When you are in the second area of Great Bay Coast, follow the wall that is to the left until you get to a waterfall. Use your Zora mask and fall down into the bottom of the water at the waterfall. You can’t do this as normal Link, you need to be a Zora.

Remember how all of the waterfalls in the original Nintendo Legend Of Zelda held some kind of secrets. The waterfall here too in Majora’s Mask also holds a secret. Go to the bottom of the waterfall and defeat all of the enemies down here. Destroy the Like Like enemy that you see here and you’ll get another heart piece. If you take a look up you will see a lot of ledges up here that you can now access with your newly acquired Hookshot. Use your Hookshot to reach these new areas of the game.

Make your way to the top and you will see a cave entrance. Go through and you will find the waterfall rapids that have the beaver racing game. As if it isn’t obvious already, you need to have the Zora Mask and the Hookshot to get to the beaver race game. You should already know this, because you’ve now used both to get here. But if you are just reading this article and haven’t gone to the beaver races yet, then just know you need these two items. Now on to the beaver races.

Now look at the beaver here and use your Z targeting on him. He will jump down into the water. Follow him into the water as Zora Link and talk to the beaver. This beaver will give you a special reward for winning the beaver races game. You’ll get another bottle added into your Legend Of Zelda inventory. This is especially useful in the Zora Eggs quest that you need to go on in Great Bay Coast.

This is a fairly easy game and you’ll want to complete it for the prize. You are going to be following the beavers through flashing rings along the waterfall rapids. The beaver races have a limited time, so you need to finish in order to win the prize. You need to be Zora Link to compete in the beaver race. Use your A button and follow the beaver through the entire race. How do you win the beaver race?

You’ve got to go through all of the flashing rings within the time limit to win. You should know this if you’ve played the other Legend Of Zelda mini games. There isn’t just one race you have to complete, you’ll need to go through two beaver races to win. The first waterfall rapids course has twenty rings, and the second course has twenty five rings. When you are racing do not jump out of the water. Follow the beavers while holding down the A button and avoid jumping out of the water to win.

You don’t want to go out of the water because you will lose time during the race. This isn’t all of the beaver races. After you finish these two races, you can compete in another beaver race but this one is a little harder. You have a shorter time limit, and if you win you will be rewarded with an additional heart piece. You need all of the heart pieces as you can get in this Legend Of Zelda game. This is one of the toughest ones out there, so go ahead and finish the last beaver races to get the heart piece. Now you can get more life with just 4 pieces.

This is how you get to the beaver races and win an additional bottle in Legend Of Zelda Majora’s Mask. Don’t forget to also complete the harder race to get an additional heart piece. Getting as many bottles as you can with help you in a number of ways for your Legend Of Zelda adventure. First of all you’ll be able to carry different kinds of milk and potions, plus you can get more eggs in the Zora Eggs quest later. If you don’t have a lot of bottles for the Zora Eggs quest, this one can be a hassle to finish.
