Battlefield Three – What Will It be Like?
What can we expect from the upcoming Battlefield 3?
Battlefield 3 is up next for the critically-acclaimed Battlefield franchise. Developed by EA and DICE, this game will feature cutting-edge graphics, as well as making the game have realistic explosions, destructions and more using the fabled Frostbite 2.0 engine. This game will be a more modern take on the series, as opposed to Bad Company 2’s Cold War timeframe.
While it will take place in modern day, developer DICE has stated it plans to “cause no racial discrimination or controversy”. This comes from the recent on-rail shooter Badwater for Kinect that sees controversy for it’s take on Operation Badwater, and from EA’s Medal of Honor, almost had the Taliban side in the game pulled.
The Battlefield franchise has been appealed for its great graphics, use of large maps, and vehicular combat. In some cases, people prefer it to the Call of Duty franchise. However, EA is trying to beat out Call of Duty full on with Battlefield 3. It is trying to top it with graphics, gameplay, and to try to make it become the top played shooter of all time, finally beating the king of it all, Call of Duty.
Battlefield 3 is available 10/25/11 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC (which will have the best graphics). Are you getting Battlefield 3? Let me know in the comments.
