Book Review: Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch
A review of this humorous science fiction romance book.
When Katherine (Kitty) Katt attacks and kills an alien using the Mont Blanc pen her dad gave her, she is recruited by another group of aliens (these are from Alpha Centauri) to help rid the world of the evil aliens.
The ACers are all gorgeous; they dress in Armani; they came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men (they can move *really* fast, for example). And at least one of them is in love (or at least, a heck of a lot of lust) with Kitty.
There’s a lot of stuff that’s unexplained, but never mind! There’s monsters to be fought, jokes to be told and steamy inter-species sex to be had. If you’re looking for great literature or profound insights into the human condition, look somewhere else. But if you’d like a fun read that reasonably well written and keeps the pages turning (or, in my case, my finger pressing the ‘next’ key on my Kindle) then this isn’t bad. It’s also the start of a series.
