Call of Duty: Black Ops Two “Built From The Ground Up to Catch Cheaters”
Call of Duty is the worlds best selling videogame franchise. Not surprisingly, their best selling versions are on all three major home videogame consoles: The Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, andNintendo Wii, with PC taking a back seat in sales.
The later installments in the Call of Duty series have weaned further and further away from the PC platform. Modern Warfare3’s PC support was practically nonexistent, with map packs and “Elite” services coming weeks to months after the console counterparts.
PC players who have stuck with the series have some fantastic news coming from Treyarch’s Director of Technology, Cesar Stastny. Recently, Cesar has confirmed several things directed toward the PC player through his Twitter:
*. “Black Ops 2 is developed by a dedicated PC team simultaneously with the other platforms.”
*. ”BO2 built from the ground up to catch cheaters.”
*. ”Ability to detect and ban based on lessons learned on Black Ops.”
This is great news for PC players and console users alike. Not only will PC users get the support theydeserve, but all players get the benefits of less cheating and hacking across all platforms.
