Coming Soon Pt.1

The human society has been thinking outside the box for several decades. We now have Video Games that are becoming more life-like in movements and in graphics. Take ‘Half Life’ for example, and let’s not leave out Wii games such as ‘Wii Fitness’, putting everyone at home into what I call “The Relaxing Gym of Fun”. Movies show us a real life visual (so-to-speak) of what can happen when disaster strikes. Movies like “The day after tomorrow”, “The Core”, “Armageddon”, “Deep Impact”, and so many more coming soon. Let’s focus on what we see as far as technology and secrecy when we say “OMG, wouldn’t it be hot if we really had that?” or “Damn, you think the government really has things like that?”  The Computer Chip speaks for itself controlling most of, if not the entire World (not literally). Realism is just the tip of the iceberg, think ahead if you will; conferences being held by hollow graphic imagery instead of video, same concept just not in the flesh or on a screen. Maybe professors would prefer to lecture from the home-office, hearing and replying to all questions, comments and discussions miles away from campus. We imagine and engineer the impossible. We are unique and forever evolving. Several new military weapons are being tested (just from watching TV. reading science times, etc.) and the future of modern warfare has become highly advanced and yet advancing. How about biological discoveries, human and organ cloning maybe, nanobots  working with white blood cells and T cells to fight off all the illnesses we don’t have a pharmaceutical drug for. The possibilities are endless. The People of the World are discovering that Global Warming is not just two words anymore. We’ve comprised of a system of “Going green” for the World and mankind’s future. This is a big plan/idea for the benefit of our ecosystem but a small gesture when realizing how far we’ve gone (as far as destroying it). Now what happens when ‘WE’ as a community, as a society, and as a race (the human race) decide not to believe and not to imagine? What could people look for in the phrase “COMING SOON”…?

As always a very interesting read! Your ending note was excellent! As far as inventions go I think that for modern day things such as televisions and gaming we are not really inventing anything new but revising the old. The nintendo at least took it up a step by somewhat going virtual and they are just on the brink of something that could actually lead to a completely new invention as far as gaming is concerned, virtual reality, how great that would be!! Very enjoyable read!

When I read of coming soon

I thought it was all about coming!!!

    And sooner than soon…

    An attractive Title though
When we come, as Holstad said
We come with a blast and fast
    Then it doesn’t last…
Again it takes time to regain,
    We come and go
    All in the same way
    As Holstad did once say

    It’s a blast very fast,
    Some stay
    Some stay away,
But blasts can only for a while
    Be delayed
Did you have a similar experience?
    Oh yes dear friend
    All about blasts’ experiences
    Do say
    lh
