CS: The Weapons of Choice

In short, in CS the best weapon of all is either the AK 47, the SVD or the AWP.

This subject is the one I dedicated most of my CS attention, after all the weapon plays about 70% of the rate in your success as a player. The SVD is the one that requires less attention and skill to use, basically it’s just aim and smash the button until you empty both your ammo and your enemies’ brains. The AWP requires some more attention and skill because you must aim carefully and then shot it. Finally the AK 47 is the one that suits most situations for the best price, just 2500$ CS dollars and kill anything with just 3 shots, however you need to KNOW how to use this thing.

The SVD needs no skill so I will not spend more characters with this.

The AWP requires silence and fast reaction time. You need to use the first scope to scout for heads, then as soon as you spot one just use the seconds lens and then shot fast. If you fail the first shot or it hits the leg and does not kill, you need to fire another very quickly. Some people prefer to switch back to the knife or secondary weapon and then scope again. I prefer just to leave the second scope on and leave the reload automatic. If you go for assault with this weapon you need to be very fast on aiming and shooting. If you manage to do it you can kill anything that does not strike you in the head or behind you, however very few people manage to do this, specially when AWP got less powerful ammo in later CS versions.

The AK 47 requires the most skill but it’s the most comfortable weapon to use, you need just to use one button. When you see an enemy in the close range just smash the button and his head, however when you see him in the middle range just use the ratio of 3 bullets a second. If you hit the 3 it’s enough to send him farewell in one tiny second. This is likely to happen with a skilled player. If you spot one bad guy very far away you need to use all your snipping skills. The first thing to do is to hide yourself. Since he cannot see you, you have more seconds to finish him off. Now aim for the head and attempt the one shot kill technique. Relax if you do not hit the first time, just use the 2 bullets a second ratio, it’s the fastest ratio for the most accurate cross aim.

Of course you might argue about this choice of weapons, but when you play against the toughest players in the world you will immediately see how these weapons are the only ones capable of making you last one entire round for quite a long time in the night.
