Dawn of War Dark Crusade Imperial Guard Stronghold Guide

 When you first start the mission, you will be on the south-east corner on the map. Don’t capture any points yet. Tell your builder unit to build a barrack to train infantry. You can also train basic infantry from your headquarters. In about 30 seconds, you will be rushed by 3 chimeras with about a total of 6 squads of guardsmen. That should be no problem since the guardsmen are very weak and aren’t supported at all.

After you see off the rush, build basic units from your barracks. Eldars should build a few reapers and howling’s. Also tell your builders to build turrets around your base. Once you have got about 5-6 squads of basic infantry or aspect warriors. Head to your north-west. You should find the imperial guards’ forward base. Eliminate it!!!! Make sure you scout the area for any ememy building and wipe it out because you don’t want a counter attack later. And trust me, it can be fatal.

When you have eliminated their forward base. Go capture the strategic points that are closer to the east side of the map. Put listening posts on all of them and reinforce them with turrets because you do not want to lose them. Take your squads to the east side of the forward base [not in water]. Then travel through the water in front of your men. The only thing that fires at you is a heavy weapons team and a few turrets.

Once you get to the other side. You should find another base. Scrap it clean! No buildings are allowed to stand! Then head to the west side of the base. You should see the titan cannon ditch. Just send a builder over and sacrifice it. You should see a cutscene where the titan cannon fires. After it fires, get all your men over. Forget about the baneblade, just head to your east where you find the militants main base. Just skip everything and head to their head quarters building. Destroy the field command or whatever it’s called and you win and the guards get owned!!!!

This mission is just way too easy!!!! You can basicly do it without vehicles. 6 strong infantry squads should do the job. But if your difficulty is on hard then you will need more units and vehicles are suggested.
