Day z is a tough, realistic game full of wannabe walking dead murderers who will not hesitate to pull the trigger. Going in brand new with no idea how to play is basically suicide. So here are some simple tips on how to survive.

1. GET OFF THE COAST.

2. Crawling will make you nearly invisible to zombies.

3. Don’t shoot if you have a back exit.

4. Don’t crawl through doorways.

5. Get a basic gun before entering a major city.

6. Use ALT frequently.

7. If possible, don’t play alone.

8. Take the ammunition over food. You run out of it faster.

9. See another person you don’t know? Kill or be killed

    Study the map and know where to go.
