Dragon Age Origins
Review.
Dragon Age: Origins, by Bioware, is an RPG (Role playing game) that had many RPG fans going wild. The game it self was released on November 3rd in the United States. BioWare Edmonton has made another RPG which us RPG fans will enjoy. BioWare previously made Baldur’s Gate which is a similar game that was made in 1998.
This game in available in the PC, xbox 360, and the PS3
I personally love playing this game. I have only played a few hours as a human warrior and I am completely in loved with this RPG. I usually prefer more action based games in real time, but this game changed my mind on games.
When you begin the game, you are to choose your own “origin” by picking your race, class type, and more. The three races are : Human, Elf, and Dwarf. Your choice in your race and class greatly determine how the story goes, and how you play. You may choose to be a human noble and as a part of a royal family, or be an elvish bandit.
This game is known for its different choices you can make. Throughout the game you’ll get in situation that you have to either save a party member or leave them to their fate and go on. Your moral choice will determine your game story. The dialogue in DAO is very large and have many different choices. If you say something that insults a bandit, you’ll be probably in a bloody battle. If you complement an NPC or make the NPC happy, they might join you in your party.
Your party members are extremely important, in this game you can’t win much battles by yourselves. To meet new companions, you would have to satisfy their needs, and you also must keep them satisfied. If they are unsatisfied they might leave your party and you can no longer use them as your party member unless you convince them to join back.
The combat is all about tactics, for example you should get the warrior in front of the enemies while the mages or archers keep their distance far from the enemy. If the warrior is low on hit points, the mage should heal the warrior or let the warrior consume a health potion. Many different skills are available for each class. Each skill has its advantages on certain enemy, location, and time. Most skill also have a disadvantage, like a skill for the warrior “Precise Striking”. It allows the warrior to strike the weapon more accurately and stronger, but attack speed is lowered.
There are many more features in this highly rated Role Playing Game, but i have yet to discovered them. I have only played a few hours, but i was so impressed by this game, i have decided to write an article on this.
I apologize if make any mistakes, or my information on the game is not correct.
I will continue writing an article about this game as i play more.
