When You first start playing, You are given a basic low level mechanaught an weapon. You are give the option to take a tutorial, it is highly recommended You do. After it’s completion, You will obtain a unique item an during the tutorial an You will earn points needed to upgrade Your weapons an mechanaught. You will also learn basic game play. It might be hard to compete with other players at first, it is a good idea to play team verse computer for a while until You get comfortable with the special movement of the mechanaught.

In Exteel You can walk, run an use Your jet pack to rocket around on the ground an in the air. Learning how to move is they key to staying alive. Using the same keys to walk an run, by double clicking them, will enable Your jet pack, which will give You a speed boost. This can also be done with the jump key, which will allow You to fly a short distance. Once You have mastered the basic movements of Your mechanaught, You will stand a better chance of competing against other players.

Exteel feature’s several different types of weapons that can be mixed an match to suit Your desire style of game play. To start off there is short range, this includes sub machine guns which have the shortest range of all weapons. You will need to lock on to Your target with the guidance system for the SMG to become effective. If you get to close it will not let You lock on to the target. One of it’s only drawbacks which is equal made up with it’s rate of fire. The sub machine gun is mostly used for short to medium distance combat. The shot gun is the next type of short range weapon, option. It has a very short range, used mostly for taking out multiple targets bunched together it is highy effective in this manner. With it’s burst shot, You almost can’t miss. Just like the SMG’s, targets that are to close an to far will not lock on.

The medium range category of weapons feature rifles. Not that different from the sub machine guns, rifles have increased range an accuracy. The only problem with rifles is not being able to lock on at very close range. The med range rifle can be used to snip targets without getting in range of there bullets. It uses single shots rounds an when equipped with an SMG, become highly effective when pursuing fleeing foes.

The next category is long range weapons or the sniper guns of the game, these have the longest distance of all the weapon categories. First up we have the Cannons, they fire slowly, You must not move when fireing an there damage is explosive. Target’s can be taken out quickly using less shots. Like other weapons being to close to the target will cause the cannon not to lock on. We also have the option of rocket launchers, they do massive damage to target foes, an anything there path. Unlike the cannons, rocket launchers can be fired as You move or jump an does not need to be lock on to the target to do damage. Classified as long range weapon the rocket launchers, still has some drawbacks, it is heavy an has a slow fires rate, but does the most damage of all the weapons classes.

The final weapon class is the melee, used for hand to hand combat. This class of weapons feature’s swords, shields an spears. There is no lock on with this class of weapons an multiple targets can be hit at the same time. Swords have a shorter attack distance then spears, an do less damage. But swords are the lightest of the weapons, which allows Your mechanaught to move an attack targets faster. Spears have a greater attack distance then the swords, an puts distance between You an the target. They have a more powerful attack but have greater weight then swords. Shields are thrown into the melee class. Mostly used for defense, the shield is used to block in-coming attacks, but it can also be used to attack an knock foes back. Coupled with other class’s of weapons the shield can be a valuable defensive tool.

There is several different types of mechanaught suits. Players can choose standard, light or heavy mech suits. Each can be customized with parts from all three mech suit types. With dozens of combination to fine tune Your new robotic mech suit, You can literally build a suit the fits a style of game play You like. Different types of mech suits give You different advantages. The light mechanaught, gives greater attack an speed but sacrifices defense. With a light mech suit, Players have a greater ability to fly an glide longer capture bases an take down players without being detected. Next is the standard mechanaught. It is well balanced an is the perfect mech suit for new Players, it is in between the light an heavy mech suits capabilities. It Offers both speed an defense equally compared to other mech types. The heavy mechanaught, is the tank of the mech class. It has a very high defense. When mixed with the right weapons it’s a tank. Although it sacrifices speed it more then makes up for it with defense. It is the hardest mechanaught to take down.

There are several types of game play modes. The most popular is capture the flag, up to sixteen Players battle it out in an 8 v.s. 8 match. The objective is to raid the enemies base take the flag an return it to Your base all without being destroyed. It’s a great game for clans to put there team work to the test. One of My two favorite game modes is death match an team death. Just as the names imply, it is an all out, shoot out. Everyone is Your enemy in an action packed battle for the most kills. Another game mode is hold the points. Different locations must be taken from the enemy team an held. All locations must be taken by one of the teams to win the game instantly or one of the teams has to hold the most locations when time runs out to wins the game. The last game mode is ironically, last stand. Players battle against computer NPC’s to hold different points on the field of play. The computer will try to invade an take these point. Players must hold at least one point when time runs out to win the game. Each point that is lost increases the number of computer attackers there attack, defense an overall base level. Holding all the points is the best way to win, losing just one point could cost You the game.
