Fallout Three Cap Making

I’ll try to explain this method as well as I can.

We all know of the buying/selling layout from Fallout 3. Your list of items to the left and the shop’s list to the right.

This method only works on items with condition. (Weapons, Armor, Ect.)

The method is simple:

1. Look through the shop’s items until you find 2 of the same items.

2. But the item with the lowest condition.

3. If done correctly the item will be at full condition in your inventory.

4. Then you can sell the item back to the shop for more caps then you payed for it.

This method also works when the shop has more then 2 of the same items, but it could be harder to pick out which one you bought due to the fact that if you buy 1 item and sell it and buy the other nothing will happen, but you can try again to select the item you bought first or the one you just bought by accident.

The item might not instantly appear at full condition when you buy it ( In fact it almost never becomes full condition on first try). You have to buy then sell it a few times first.

Warning: If you do this method on a item thats not worth alot of caps then it will take a while to gain a decent profit from this glitch, the lowest I would go for this glitch is “Leather Armor”.

What I tend to do when using this method is:

Check if the shop has a eligible method item.

Buy everything I need from the shop, ammunition, stimpacks. Varies depending on user. (Amount of items bought will change due to people having more caps then people.)

Do the method and get all my caps back and the amount of cash the shop had to begin with.
