How to Beat Sinspawn Geneaux in Final Fantasy X

The Sinspawn Geneaux boss has 3,000 hit points and the Geneaux Tentacle has 450 hit points. If you use the scan you can discover the secrets that can help you defeat this boss. Here are the basic strategies to defeat the main part of the boss. It has a great defense for any physical attacks you give to him and the tentacle will absorb any magic attack you try. The strategy is to defeat the tentacle first and then follow up with fire magic on the shell. The tentacle has a good defense for magic attacks and is weak to physical attacks.

This Final Fantasy 10 battle can be really tough and you can die if you don’t know what strategies to use. The main boss, the Sinspawn Geneaux has a high defense for physical attacks. If you try to use any physical attacks, you will do very little damage to him. You can fight with Valefor and he will do damage to the boss. You can fight with Valefor, or go with the suggested method with scan.

If you want to use Valefor, it is important to come into this boss battle with your overdrive completely full. When you use Valefor, have him cast the Energy Ray. If you use this magic, the tentacles will be killed immediately, and you will also do about 1,000+ hit point damage to the main boss.

Even if you don’t have your overdrive full, you can use Valefor for awhile to damage the tentacles. However, it is a lot better to go into battle with Yuna’s full overdrive skill.

If you are not using Valefor then have your three characters use physical attacks to the tentacles. You want to have characters that are strong in physical attacks. Now after you have defeated the tentacles, it is time to use magic against the main boss. This will be the job for Lulu. Use fire magic and/or other magic that you want to use against the main boss. After you have gotten several hundred hit points off of the boss, he will open up.

After Sinspawn Geneaux opens up, you can use your physical attacks against him. Now that the boss has opened up from the shell, he can use a new attack. He can cause poison on your party members. Switch to Yuna in your party when you need her, and make use of Yuna’s Esuna magic.

The Sinspawn Geneaux also can use water magic, so make use of the NulTide magic spell, to help you in this part of the battle. One other attack can hurt your party pretty good, so you will need to make use of your healing magic also, when you need it. Keep up with these strategies and you will defeat this boss in no time. If you start off with Valefor and use the Energy Ray, plus follow these other strategies that you’ve read about here, then you shouldn’t have too much of a problem finishing him off. Watch Sinspawn Geneaux closely, as he attacks in a certain pattern. He will always stay in this attack pattern if you watch closely.
