Trickster Online
Trickster Online is easily one of the greatest MMORPGs of all time. It has beautiful graphics, cute characters, a large world, and many bosses to conquer. There are so many things to do in this game it is overwhelming. This is a small guide to character selection at the moment. But, I plan on adding more content if people like this guide.
Many of you may be new to Trickster Online so I will just sum it up for you real quick. Trickster Online is an anime-cartoonish free to play MMORPG that has many cool classes, characters, events, and awesome skills to use. There are 4 main types of characters. Power, Magic, Sense, and Charm. Each one of these classes has the two genders that you can choose from, but the genders have their own special abilities. Male sense characters may be masters of guns while female sense characters are the rogue-thief dagger wielding warriors. So before you just choose what gender you are in real life, take into consideration the different abilities each gender places on the table. Also, please bare with me, I haven’t played this game for a few months so I might have a piece or two of incorrect or in-accurate info. Comments and suggestions would be heavily appreciated as I had to stop playing this game, but I still have the burning passion for it.
Power Type
Male (Buffalo): The Buffalo is a very strong warrior. They are great at close-up combat and they can really pack a punch! They are strong contenders when soloing bosses and when teamed up in groups. The downside is that they are not the best in PvP, their main enemies are mages, who are notorious for the “Rust” spell which lowers physical damage. Buffalo is an easy class to start out with and it is highly recommend for those beginners just learning the way of the game. They also have some great AoE skills.
Jobs: You start out as a Fighter and then when you get to 2nd job, you are promoted to being a Warrior (at level 50). Then when you reach level 130, you are eligible to upgrade to 3rd job where you can choose the path of a Mercenary or a Gladiator. It may be a tough choice on which one to pick, but it is all about personal preference and if you want to be a pure or a hybrid. If you are pure, you get skills that a hybrid cannot. But hybrids, get to get skills that only Female Power types get for 2nd job. So, basically, you can get from both of the two worlds if your a hybrid. It could be a downside though…
Pros:
- Very good against bosses.
- Fabulous at soloing.
- The skills they obtain make grinding and leveling so much more simple (not quicker but simple).
- Easy for beginners.
- Get to use shields with their swords.
- Awesome in guild battles.
- Bundles of HP and AP.
- Many different unique builds to choose from.
- Buffs that increase stats.
Cons:
- Not so great in PvP.
- Are EATEN by mages.
- Lot’s of skills could lead to getting a bad or useless skill. Thus, wasting skill points.
Female (Bunny): The Bunny is one of the most powerful fighters in the game, and they can deal some of the highest damaging skills like Tetra Punch and Quad Punch. In my opinion im liking the Bunny more than the Buffalo. But that’s my opinion. Just like the Buffalo, mages can “Rust” them and put their AP and damage effectiveness close to or at 0. But this wont matter, as a bunny, you should be quick enough to kill the mage before it can even attack (Light Mages are a little harder to kill).
Jobs: You start out as a Schoolgirl and then when you hit level 50 for 2nd job, you can become a Boxer. This is where the Female Power types start to show their true potential. When they get quad punch at later levels and Tetra after that. At level 130 when you can promote again to 3rd job, just like the Buffalo, you have the choice of going pure or hybrid. You can choose to be a Champion or a Duelist. I believe Duelists are the hybrids and Champions are the pures. I dont really have a suggestion on which one is better, just look into it. In the end, your going to be enjoying/playing your character, so you should choose a job you enjoy.
Pros:
- Got to be the strongest fighters in the game (a lot of arguement comes with this though).
- Great buffs like the Buffalo.
- Pretty darn good in PvP.
- Epic boss killer.
- Great at grinding.
- Fun to level.
- Enjoyable skills.
- Can have over 20k HP easily (they are not full fledged tanks though by all means).
- Are great for guild battles.
- Strong in late game.
- Get to use shields with their swords.
- Also are easy for beginners.
- You can have an HP build, AP build, HP/AP build, there are many unique but still effective builds to choose from.
- IMO are a tad bit stronger in many areas than Buffaloes.
- AWESOME dash skill to pop up on enemies in a second for quick attacks.
Cons:
- Can also be destroyed or made ineffective like Buffaloes but less likely.
- Can’t think of anymore at the moment >.<
Magic Type
Male (Dragon): The Dragon is a very diverse character. They specialize in the area of either Dark or Light. Dark inflicts all kinds of different darkness spells. Including Dark Lance and a steller AoE Gravity Crush. Light focuses more on healing and self-defense. Light has been the strongest for a while where they have Shield of Heaven which is basically another bar of health. It makes Light Dragons a severe tank and they can also inflict a vary large amount of damage, whether in PvE or PvP. At level 50, you begin promotion by picking the skill-book for EITHER Dark or Light. You can only choose one, so make a wise choice. Talk to pros and what they think is better at the moment and why.
Jobs: When you start you are a Shaman, and your pretty bad lol. If you wanna be good, you would save your skill points, get mana arrow and cure. Thats about it for the first few levels. None of that spider web crap, thats just bad lol. At level 50 you become a Magician, this is where you begin to shine. Once again, you pick a book, and then you follow dark or light and get the best skills that correspond to your attribute. If you choose the Dark Book, you will be a Dark Lord (or hybrid Wizard) at level 130. If you choose the Light Book you will be a Priest (or hybrid Wizard) at level 130. The hybrid wizard can learn many of the elemental skills that a Sheep learns, I will touch up on this later.
Pros:
- Eat Power Types.
- Very good de-buffs.
- Nice AoE.
- Light Mages have great protection, its almost like they are tanks.
- Dark Mages have nice damaging spells.
- Awesome buffs for both Dark and Light (Barriers).
- Fun in PvP, also are very good.
- Cure is an extra bonus for you and your party when bossing, PvPing, and GvGing (Guild versus Guild).
- Gotta love Rust (Rust is also available to Sheep).
- Can have real nice critical rate if you are 1441 build (I was a 1432 Dark Lord full MA, quit at level 173).
- You can have some lee-way in your build. Full Luck, Full MA, a mix, whatever you like. You can create a ratio.
- Use shields.
Cons:
- There are different cons depending on which attribute you pick, dark or light.
- Light has been incredible lately, since I played a few months ago. I might have missed a patch, so please message me if i am a little out of date. My computer wont let me play anymore o.o”.
- Dark has some nice attacks and DoTs but doesn’t have some of the epic protection spells Light has.
- When charms use mana reflector, you are done.
- Mana pots are expensive for low levels.
Female (Sheep): There are so many paths to choose when you are building your sheep. You can specialize in fire, water, earth, lightning, or wind. You can choose up to a combination of two. I like sheep because there are so many things you can do, and each element has their different pros and cons. I would choose two of the elements and then go hybrid when you reach level 130. This is so you can have your awesome elemental skills and get some great Male Mage skills like Shield of Heaven which almost makes you a tank.
-Jobs: First you start as a Librarian and when you get promoted at level 50 to 2nd job, you become a bard. This is where you choose your two elements. I recommend searching for other guides that talk specifically about which elements are best because I never had a successful sheep. Some elements are good for AoE, 1v1, PvP, PvE, grinding, and GvG. The combination you choose is all up to you and your game play preference. When you get to level 130 and hit 3rd job, like all the other class, you can go Pure or Hybrid. Soul Master is the pure class advancement while Witch is the hybrid where you can learn some fabulous Dragon skills. I have been hearing great things about water/air witches so maybe you can look into that. It’s all up to if you want to keep persuing your elements or if you want to side track and obtain some dark or light Dragon skills.
Pros:
- So many great elements.
- Very unique and versatile.
- Can get SoH.
- Long Range.
- Got Rust.
- Cure, just like Dragons.
- Eat Power Types.
- Great AoE depending on elements of choice.
- Great and so much fun in PvP.
- Good Buffs.
- Use Shields.
Cons:
- Lack high HP and DP.
- All mages aren’t really competiton for Charms.
- Can drain MP pretty quick.
- Low leveling till you hit level 50.
- Beginners will have trouble paying for pots, just end up sitting down.
Sense Type
Male (Lion): In my opinion, Lion is one of the funnest characters to play in the game. You have great range and can take out enemies with your guns before they get to you. This is good for builds with low defensive capabilities. When you have a stronger but weaker defensive build, you can kill the enemy before getting hurt. I recommend 4141 as your build to rich people because you can supply your character with strong armor and a lot of pots (4 Power, 1 Magic, 4 Sense, and 1 Charm). You will die A LOT with this build but when you become 200+ you will be so strong in PvP and PvE that you wont even need to worry about your HP and DP. If you really want to survive longer and don’t mind taking out some of your power for defensive reasons, then you should try 3142 or even a 2143 build. Lion is a very good, well rounded character in my opinion.
-Jobs: You begin Trickster as a young little Engineer and when you hit level 50 and you get 2nd job, you will then be turned into an Inventor. For your first 15 levels you will most likely not have a gun or the skills required to use guns, so until then it is a slow level. There are some skills you MUST get to be a successful gunner. For example, the skills that let you reload while walking is a MUST. Also, the skills that let you be un-interupted by enemy attack while re-loading is a must. You should not spend any skill points on the melee skills because those skills are specifically for Foxes, which we will touch up on later. When you become and inventor you get some great powerful gun skills that boost up your damage, accuracy, and some skills that are stronger forms of shots. These all come in handy when you are trying to perform combos as quick as you can to take out the enemy. At level 130, you can become a Cyber Hunter or a Scientist. I am not sure which ones are hybrid or pure but that can be easy to figure out when you are job changing.
Pros:
- QUICK killers.
- Great in PvP and PvE.
- Great bossers.
- Get some really great skills.
- Awesome buffs.
- Look awesome.
- Long range killers.
- AoE skills for guns.
Cons:
- You CANNOT use a shield with your gun!
- Low HP and DP since you cant use a shield.
- Power Types are very good against you.
- If Magic Types catch you off guard and hit you first, you will have very few seconds to re-act and try to put up a fight.
- Bullets can be expensive for beginners.
- Pots are very expensive and you need a lot.
Female (Fox): Foxes are very strong and stealthy characters which are also very fun to use in PvP. You can go invisible and sneak up on your enemy, throw bombs, or you can eat a huge chunck of HP out of an enemy with your DA based skills. Most of the Fox’s skills depend on DA to increase their damage, so a full DA Fox is a very good choice. I haven’t played in a while but im pretty sure since DA is the only important damage modifier, then you would want to go 1144 to get all those bonus defense stats since you wont need AP or AC from the power section. Fox’s are awesome characters to level on the side as with their high DA (Detect Ability), you can dig up items with your drill easier. You also get a skill the locates items in the ground so if your drill attempt is successful, you know you will get an item! Fox’s are awesome main characters and incredible characters to have on the side for your drilling and item finding needs. Fox’s are very unique and fun characters to play.
Jobs: When you start your Fox out, you are an Archeologist. You get some good DA skills when you first start out. Remember DA is one of the most important stats if you plan on using Daggers and the non-gun skills. Foxes should not get any gun skills as they are a waste of skill points if you do not plan on going full-hybrid gunner. When you get 2nd job at level 50 you become an Explorer. You should be doing a lot of damage by now with your DA based skills associated with the new buffs you get. When you get to level 130 and get 3rd job, you can either be a Thief Master or Hunter Lord. If you are still focusing on your DA based skills, then pick the pure job as the hybrid getting the gunner skills will be completely useless as you havent been preparing by putting up AC. Only go hybrid if you actually planned this out and pumped all your stats to AC as it is the factor that increases your gun attack damage. Without it you are a quite useless gunner.
Pros:
- Very fun.
- DA skills are VERY strong.
- You are a very stealthy PvPer.
- Don’t have bad defensive stats if you pick the right build.
- Use a shield with your dagger to optimize your survivability.
- Very nice buffs that increase your DA to make your skills stronger in combat.
- You are good against all classes, it is equally balanced.
- Very effective at bossing.
- Great addition to a party.
- INCREDIBLE at drilling!
- Great characters to have even if you already have a main character!
- You will find quest and event items quick, which you can use or sell. This makes Foxes great for beginners as you make a lot of cash if you sell your digs.
- I think Foxes are rare to find, I find less people playing Foxes then lets say Bunnies or Sheep.
Cons:
- You are very susceptible to all types.
- No defensive buffs, but at least you got a shield.
- Few to none AoEs.
Charm Type
Male (Raccoon): Now we get to the Charms, the type i know the least about. So please, bare with me on this XD. Coons are definitely a very strong class. Some players don’t think they ar fun but dang they can eat mages right up if you are not smart. Coons main abilities are throwing cards, so you need to have empty cards, it is almost like ammunition for your skills. Coons, obviously, are really great tanks. You can go full DP (weird), full HP (just as weird), or you can choose a nice AP or HV coon to play. I played with an HP coon in my guild and it was impossible to damage him. His only effective attack was mana reflector but that was good enough. I killed myself in one Arrow Rush. He had so much HP it was ridiculous. He only got up to level 86 i believe. But i am pretty sure there is a 3rd job skill that does damage depending on your HP, im not sure if i am right about this but if so then you would be incredible if you could reach the level to get that skill and be full HP. HV and AP coons are also very strong card throwers. They can also transform and take out enemies real easily when they mutate. Coon is a very fun class to play, but are easily the slowest classes to level up.
Jobs: When you start your coon out you are a Teacher. When you hit level 50 and successfully go through 2nd job advancement, you become a Card Master. This is where you start to get faster at leveling up because you get your first card throwing skills. When you are a teacher, you don’t have that many good skills, im thinking galder thrower is one of your primary damage dealers. I’m pretty sure it does like 800 damage, which is bad for a level 40ish. But then you get better, and when you get mana reflector you become that more effective in PvP against mages and PvE magic casting monsters. You get some more skills like Full House and you become a more powerful enemy. When you get Mutation in the late 2nd job, you should be very excited as this makes PvPing and grinding a whole lot easier. I am very un-educated about 3rd job for charms so when i do some research and learn some more about them I will fix and edit this guide. For 3rd job you can choose to be Duke or a Gambler. One focuses more on card-skills while the other is the hybrid giving you some nice Cat skills.
Pros:
- Can destroy Magics.
- Great power buffs.
- Mutation is a great skill.
- TANKS.
- Cool card skills.
- Can use shields, adding onto their defensive strength.
- Mana Reflector with good Magic Defence can keep your health high while facing a mage.
- GvG you can survive a good AoE burst.
- When facing a boss, you can keep knocking away at a boss and regenerate some lost health and mana with some pots since you don’t have to worry about HP that much.
- Nice AoEs.
- Awesome stun moves.
- Stun makes PvP a lot easier.
Cons:
- SO hard to level.
- Many pros have told me it gets boring.
- Cards and MP pots may be expensive for some noobs.
- Galder Throw is a good skill for low levels, but it drains a noob’s 20k so quick.
Female (Cat): This is the class that I never had a character for, yet they are very strong. They get mana reflector just like coons and they also get Mutation. They have Volley Kick which has made grinding a lot easier. You also get Skunk Punch like a coon where the enemy can’t move. Entrancing Wink is also a plus as it can really take put mages. You also get a lot of fabulous buffs as a charm type. This makes a Cat an incredible damage-dealing tank. There are different types of builds for Cat. You can specialize in AP, HV, or even a mix of all them!
Jobs: When you start Trickster, you are a Model. You get a lot of good buffs and some great power based attacks. When you get to level 50 and successful job advance, you then become an Entertainer. Evolution transforms you into a nice beast to do some high damage. After you hit level 130 and choose Diva or Primadonna, you are a pretty hard-core PvPer. You really just destroy mages. You can stop them from using any skills, make them damage themselves, or put down thier magic defense. Primadonna is pure while Diva is hybrid and the hybrids learn the 2nd job racoon skills. So mostly the card throwing skills but NO metamorphisis. As a Primadonna you can get 2-Hit-Combo which is really strong. Also, Entrancing Wink is incredible, it hinders mages ability to cast. This is only for Primadonnas though. Divas get Impelling Rage which is an AoE skill based on your HP. You also get the Coon card skills. This could be useful but I think pures are really good.
Pros:
- Very good PvPers.
- Incredible against Mages.
- Great tanks.
- Evolution.
- Incredible defense buffs.
- Good GvGers.
- Many builds to choose from.
- Skunk Pouch hinders enemies.
- Can use shields.
- Volley Kick can OHKO many opponents in PvP and PvE easily.
- Very high HP and defensive stats.
- Very rewarding.
Cons:
- Only have a few AoEs making them 1v1 players.
- Are quite slow to level.

Thanks for the article, it is very interesting.
