THE FIFA 10 DEMO IMPRESSIONS

           The fifa 10 demo which came out 2 days ago, is probably the best next gen fifa game i have ever played. while the graphics are about the same as the predeccesor, the game itself is miles ahead of the previous installment. the most noticable feature in the game is the meaty and gritty play. while this usually only works in first and third person shooters, the agressive push and steal gameplay has never been done like this in any soccer game before.

           In fifa 10, your players will actually fight for possession of the ball. an example of this gameplay is evident when your attacker is on the run with the last defender chasing side by side. in this sort of situation things like the players weight, height, dribbling skills, sprinting , agressiveness and even the pressure you put on the right thumbstick come into play. in this sort of situation strikers like drogba or christiano ronaldo really shine. on the other hand small strikers, the like of messi, get just as much as a chance due to there nimbleness and dribbling skills. apart from the meaty gameplay other things such the pace of the game and the dribbling is considerably improved from the previous game.

           The pace of the game now resembles much more of a real game and the 360 degree dribbling comes into play many a times in the gameplay. apart from making neat curvy runs to the goal you even have to continually focus on the movement to keep the ball inside the line. to cope with the new ball angling and dribbling is the much improved animations. players react ever more realisitally and fluidly. even the smaller things like the addition of the quick free kicks and the players reaction to a foul is the cherry on the cake…

           if i was to give an overall rating to this game i would give it a solid 9. yes im not joking, ive only played the demo and already i believe it to be the best soccer game of next year. so much for konami and their pes games..lol..
