Fifa 10 Review

My views on Fifa 10.

Fifa 10 is EA’s newest football game for 2010. In my opinion the game is brilliant and certainly lives up to its proceeders. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is amazing.

When it comes to sports games people look for all new genre defying features, things they’d NEVER seen before. Fifa 10 hasn’t exactly done this, however it still manages to impress people.

In my opinion Fifa 10’s best newest addition is Virtual Pro mode. You start by creating your very own player and choosing his attributes to suit your style of play. You can even use Gameface to upload a photo of yourself and put your face on your player. Now this may all sound slightly similar to Fifa 09’s Be a Pro Mode, but there is a difference- this year you can use your pro in ANY game mode. You can build up your pro and make him better by completing accomplishments. I think Virtual Pro is a great addition to Fifa 10. Another brilliant change to Fifa 10 is the practice arena. You can now do a small practice match with your favorite team, practice set pieces and the traditional 1 v 1 arena in which you can use your pro.

Manager Mode has been a feature in Fifa for a few years now however this year’s has a difference. This year you have total control over everything about your team. You can make transfers, scout players, upgrade your team’s staff with money earned from ticket sales (which you have complete control of) and you’ll need to meet the expectations of your club’s controlling board in order to keep your job.

Commentary this year is also fantastic :Clive Tilsley and Andy Gray provide a brilliant insight and follow the game very well. They also talk about you being a new manager in Manager Mode. Of course sometimes they make wrong calls that you can’t help but disagree with but they still follow the game very well.

Something that really makes a change to this years gameplay massively is the new 360 degree dribbling. You can move in any direction use your strong and weak foot and pull of amazing skillful moves. There is much more that I could talk about but there is far too much.

In conclusion, Fifa 10 is an amazing game and here are my ratings:

Presentation: 8/10

Graphics       : 9.5/10

Sound          : 9/10

Gameplay     : 10/10

Overall         : 9.5/10
