Four Must-Have Ps3 Games for Christmas 2009
Four of the biggest, and best, games available for the Playstation three for the coming holiday period.
Most blockbuster console titles seem to come out at the end of the year. The reason is obvious: Christmas sales. As with every year, this year is promising to give us gamers a massive selection of games, for all styles of gamer. I’ve chosen four of the best, that I am most excited by.
Modern Warfare 2

Any gaming list really has to include this game. The true sequel to 2007’s biggest game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 is widely regarded to become the biggest selling game of all time. The team behind the original, Infinity Ward, are behind the new edition of the game, and it truly seems to be a game we should all be very excited about.
Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves (Playstation 3 Exclusive)

Another sequel, this time to the widely acclaimed Uncharted. As with the original game, Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves is a Playstation 3 exclusive. Once again, players take on the roll of Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter. This time he is on the trail of Marco Polo’s lost treasure. Players will travel through Turkey, Nepal and the Himalayas, as well as a variety of other beautiful locations.
Assassin’s Creed 2

Although the original was somewhat of a letdown, the sequel is still a game that many should be very excited about. This time around, players take on the role of Ezio, a nobleman turned assassin. The game is based in Venice, during the time of the Renaissance. Players will be able to make use of the new economy system and use weapons made by Leonardo da Vinci.
Fifa 10

It wouldn’t be right if a sports game didn’t make this list. After the success that Fifa 09 enjoyed, it is only fair to expect Fifa 10 to improve on its predeccessor. Unlike previous years, Fifa 09 regained its title of best football game from Pro Evo 2009. If EA can continue to improve the game as they have since Fifa 2007, the newest iteration of the game should be absolutely fantastic.
Honourable Mentions:
- Gran Turismo 5: Omitted due to an (as of yet) unknown release date.
- MAG: The game is expected to be pushed back to January 2010.
- Battlefield Bad Company 2: Whether the game will release before or after Christmas is still unknown.

mw2, U2, AC2…….. FIFA? lol. where did fifa come from? beating out mag? interesting choice. Lets be honest, sports games evolve so slowly that you couldn’t tell the difference between 07 to 08 or 08 to 09. sure nhl 10 is far superior to nhl 2000, but really has that much changed?
Fir3_Pr00f, how can I put MAG on this list, when it wouldn’t be out until January 2010? That wouldn’t be out in time for Christmas 09.
Also, FIFA 10 just became the 3rd fastest selling game of all-time over the first 2 days here in Europe, selling over 1.35 million copies. The only games to beat that are GTA: SA and GTA IV.

I seriously want Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2 and Assassins Creed 2! Lol everything has a 2 in it! However i’ve never been fond on football so I won’t be getting FIFA 10.
Fifa is the shit and mag doesnt come out till january.
