Games are popular items which can be sold easily among young adults and even grow ups, so why not take this opportunity and get back some of the money spent by selling them.

You should start by making a list of all the games you want to sell, prepare your items, then go on the internet and browse a few online game stores you know to compare prices – set up a reasonable price as they are used games then start your advertising campaign.

Ways to sell your games: There are many ways for you to place your ads to sell your games. Some of them are:

Bill Boards

Place your ads on bill boards in shops and supermarket. Talk to your friends – Word of mouth is effective. Don’t forget to include your phone number and email address. So that people can contact you.

You can choose to do 2 things: Either to put the price for each cateogry of game listed or simply just let them know that they will be provided with more details when they contact you its easier.

Gumtree.com

Gumtree.com is similar to Craig list where you can post your items for sale for free. You can give as much details and insert pictures. Now you can include videos as well. You cannot receive any payment online though but if there is a positive outcome you can meet the buyer face to face.

Auction Site like EBay

This one takes time as you have to list your item with pictures as they do all the talking. You have to provide much details regarding the games. How long you have them, are they in good condition etc…, If there is any specific thing about your game you should let your customer know. It could be a hassle if your item is returned for unsatisfactory reasons, so be precised. You have to pay for your listing and the pictures you provide plus you have to ship your item. If you don’t mind that then you can use Ebay.

Game Stores

Game stores like gamestop or HMV have flexible ways for you to sell your games. They can either give you cash, trade up for another item or add it on a gift card for later use.

The price varies for those methods and you can’t expect too much money from the store as the price is automatically calculated, furthermore they have to sell them back. Let’s say you want to sell (infamous for PS3).If you want cash you might get €20, if traded up for something else in store €30 and €25 if you want the money to be put on a gift card. The good thing though with game store is that they rarely or neither refuse your trade up games.

Those are a few ways you can choose to sell your items therfore take the opportunity toget some of your money back.
