Grand Chase: Advanced Techniques (Ronan)
Ronan’s Advanced techniques for all of his jobs.
Alright, as a master of Ronan, I figured it’d be good for me to make this guide first, this guide is made specifically for PvP mind you. (IGN: Severage)
For 1st Job Ronan: (Spell Knight, SK)
For Spell Knights, I recommend Ragna Bolt somewhat fluently, but do NOT sit in a corner Ragna Bolting till your ears bleed from his voice. It causes the enemy to sit back, Heal, restore MP, and get very annoyed. If you think it’s a good way to “outlast” your opponent, think again.
Rune Spiral: Rune Spiral doesn’t really have any follow-up grabs or combos, however it’s fairly powerful with Holy Bless; as well as being able to hit enemies directly behind you.
Giga Crush: A very useful skill, especially with Holy Bless. Follow up with an air grab if possible.
Kanavan Strike: I don’t use it much, but it can be effective in a large clump of people. Run from a platform and slide it down to where 5 people are, and release.
Holy Bless: Use frequently, one of SK’s most useful skills in PvP.
Blast Bomb: Use on people who sit in the corner and ragna bolt, hit them from a platform underneath, and then run up and grab as the meteor goes through them.
Lunatic Force: Extremely useful in PvP, follow-up with a grab or an attack combo and it will commonly wipe out your enemy in one shot.
Those are all of his skills, now as far as attack combos…
Ragna Bolt + Grab.
Ragna Bolt + Drift + Grab. (Ragna bolt left/right, hold the drift, and grab when the enemy is behind you.
Ragna Bolt + Drift + Holy Bless + Grab.
Grab + Holy Bless + Grab + Holy Bless + Grab etc. (Delays them on the ground so you can get another grab in before they can move)
Holy Bless + Stun + Rune Spiral
Holy Bless + Stun + Giga Crush + Air Grab
Holy Bless, 10 second wait + Lunatic Force + Grab (You have to wait for MP to return, but if you have Holy Bless on, Lunatic Force is almost guaranteed to kill.)
Giga Crush + Holy Bless + Catch Grab (Holy Bless will delay once their in mid-air, grab them off the ground after Holy Bless.)
Kanavan Strike + Grab
So as you can see, there are a lot of things you can do with Ronan. A LOT. All most people do is get killed because they can’t play him well.
Ronan 2nd Job: (Dragon Knight; DK)
Infinity Sword: A quick motion of attacks that sends your opponent flying. Follow-up with an Air Grab.
Sword Tempest: A barrel-roll attack which will hit your opponent hard and send him slightly in the air. Follow-up by grabbing again before he hits the ground.
Roadstar Chaser: Ronan slams the ground and 3 powerful lasers hit your opponent. Do it near a wall (but make sure to be distant enough so all 3 hit) and air grab.
Holy Inferno: Good with Myurin, use this when you fall below 1/2 HP. (Also can be used to Delay your opponent for bonus grabs.)
Spell The Rune: A powerful mass of dark energy appears in front of you, damaging your opponent drastically. (Follow up with grab)
Arc Breath: A Dragon appears (Named Fluffy.
) and burns your opponent. Follow-up with a grab while he’s stunned from the flames.
Alright, those are the basic skills. Combos:
Infinity Sword (Don’t Finish the move, only to kick them in the air, not send them flying.) + Spell The Rune + Air grab.
Holy Inferno (To Delay) + Spell The Rune + Grab. (Not Recommended unless you are hurting in HP, using Infinity Sword works better, the Holy Inferno Delay doesn’t always work.)
Sword Tempest + Infinity Sword + Air Grab. (Sword Tempest is hard to get the grab for less-experienced people. Hit them back up in the air to get an easier grab.)
Regular Attack Combo (Aerial) + Air Grab.
Regular Attack Combo (Aerial) + Spell The Rune + Grab. (Using Infinity Sword doesn’t work after the regular combo, it makes them land and ruins the set-up.)
Regular Attack Combo (Unfinished, don’t use the aerial) + Infinity Sword + Spell The Rune + Grab.
Regular Attack Combo (Aerial) + Holy Inferno (For Delay) + Air Grab
Dragon Knight is a very stylish job, and can very easily air grab, don’t waste his powers by only using 1 bar attacks.
2 Down, 2 to go.
Ronan’s 3rd Job: (Aegis Knight; AK)
Divine Slash: Using Divine Slash is only for delaying out of enemy MPs, not recommended to try and kill your opponent.
Furious Rush: An attack that slams the ground with the Shield, and then does 2 consecutive attacks in the Air. Your work is done for you, do an easy air-grab after it for massive damage.
Flame Buster: A huge Rune Spiral (about 4x the range) that hits your opponent for roughly 150 damage. (No combos)
Rune Flare: Gives Ronan a Charge (Max 3 at a time) which can be used as either an attack, for when you use other MPs it boosts their power. (Use with Furious Rush)
Magic Defense: Provides Ronan with a shield, roughly taking 2 hits, can be more with Rune Flares. (Not really recommended to use at all for PvP)
Tempest Slayer: A powerful Ancient Golem appears from behind Ronan and sends your opponent flying high, wait approximately 1.3 seconds before running and air grabbing them. (1.3 seconds after your character becomes mobile again and the entire MP is finished.)
Aegis Knight’s (Or Absolute Shield’s) Combos:
Regular Attack Combo (Aerial) + Air Grab
Rune Flare + Furious Rush + Air Grab
Furious Rush + Rune Flare (For Delay) + Catch Grab (This is more difficult to do, and doesn’t give the same bonus the other MP would. It’s still fun sometimes though.
)
Regular Attack Combo (Aerial) + Rune Flare + Catch Grab (More difficult to do once again, and sometimes the delay doesn’t work; but if successful, it will give you an extra rune flare for later use.)
Very few combos with AK, but he’s very powerful so usually all you have to do is Rune Flare + Furious Rush + Air grab.
DELAY TRICK WITH AK: (Most people will get mad at you for this, because it REALLY looks like loads of lag, but it’s not. It’s a delay trick which may or may not have been on purpose.) When you use Divine Slash, and the first shot of Divine Slash shows that it hit your opponent (The necklace effect shows it hit, but he used an MP too) you can attempt to do this. (NOTE: Both the first and the last hits of Divine Slash HAVE TO SHOW THE HIT EFFECT, otherwise it won’t work.) When the last slash goes down, and your opponent is still in his MP, if the last slash shows the hit effect as well, Hold —-> and then press Z. It will grab your opponent completely out of his MP even if he was more than in the middle of it.
Once again, you might get flamed for using it, but it works.
Ronan’s 4th Job: (Abyssal Knight, AbK)
Shadow Stinger: Abyss Knight hits your opponent quickly, with a finishing move that knocks them over. (Recommended for delaying)
Rock Blaster: Abyss Knight shoots 3 shots, followed by a series of blasts that knocks your opponent down.
Tornado Stinger: Ronan flies up as shards surround him, then hit flies down, hitting your opponent and making them fly in the air, as a finisher, he fires all of the shards at your opponent. (Air Grab Afterwards)
Soul Wave: Abyss Knight sends a wave of magic through your opponent, then brings it back sending your opponent in the air. (Follow-up with an air grab)
Abyss Storm: Ronan uses a large, short MP. A Tornado appears, dealing huge amounts of damage and sending your opponent in the air. (Air Grab afterwards.)
Heavens Guardian: Abyss Knight calls on the huge Angelic Guardian, who fires a shotgun blast, and then one large shot sending your opponent in the air. (Air Grab Afterwards)
Now, for Abyss Knight’s combos:
Combo + Z Down (To trigger other combo) + Air Grab
Combo + Z –> (To trigger other aerial combo) + Air Grab
Tornado Stinger + Air Grab.
Abyss Storm + Air Grab
Soul Wave + Abyss Storm + Air Grab.
Soul Wave + Rock Blaster + Soul Wave (If possible) + Air Grab.
Heavens Guardian + Air Grab.
Abyss Storm + Soul Wave + Air Grab.
Shadow Stinger (Don’t finish) + Soul Wave + Air Grab.
Shadow Stinger (Don’t Finish) + Shadow Stinger (Don’t Finish) + Soul Wave + Air Grab. (I use this to make people mad, lol.)
Combo + Z Down + Soul Wave + Air Grab
Combo + Z –> + Abyss Storm + Air Grab.
And that’s about it! That’s almost everything there is to know about Ronan!
Thanks for Reading, bye.
