Guide to Gta Sa Mp: Major Servers and How to Play

Well… the first step is to obviously obtain the game and download the SAMP mod from www.sa-mp.com. Once you have downloaded it, you should check out a few servers and learn how different types of servers work. Here are a list of most known type of servers:
- Deathmatch: the main aim of this is to basically kill all the other players

- Roleplay/Simulation: This is by-far the most popular type of server played. It incorporates real life things such as buying houses, getting a job, arresting people (if your a cop) etc..

- Gang wars: In this type of server, players work together to kill the other team(s) and take over their territory.

- Stunting: In this type of server, players use vehicles to do stunts for fn and to gain money. A lot of these servers have extra mods such as : reduce/increase speed, jump in the air etc…

- Free-roam: Players can basically do anything they want (except cheating of course)

- Cheating Server: these type of servers are extremely rare, they allow players to use cheats and have fun

- Other: there are different types of servers that do not fit into the above catagories such as:

– Protect icon: in this server, a team drives a vehicle with a person they are supposed to protect and other reinforcements while the other team works together to kill the icon.

–  Zombie Outbreak: There are the following teams: Law enforecment ( who attack zombies ), survivors (ppl who escape and kill the zombies), and of course the zombies (who attempt to infect other players)

– Mini missions: These servers basically have all players focus on one goal, it can range from finding a hidden icon to racing each other and even to basically kill an NPC.

– Parodies: these are just basically servers that parody or copy names of renown games/movies/people and other things. There CAN fit into other catergories. These can range from basically a MATRIX parody to a CALL OF DUTY PARODY.

Now lets get on with the gameplay.

As you first enter a server (after the loading), you should see a character choosing option which can vary from role to weapons. Some servers require you to register before actually choosing a character, some however can just let you play as a guest. to register type in the speech box “/register [ type password here ]“. To open the speech box press ‘. To see a full list of commands you either type in “commands”, “cmds” or “cmd” depending on what the server chose.

Now lets focus on one of my favourite servers called: “****Call Of Duty 5 Server****” AKA “Special Tactics and Warfare” which are both parodies of call of duty and SWAT respectively. On this server it is basically USA vs Germany with Japan and Mercanaries. On this server, as you enter you choose which team you would like to be in. After you choose, you will be automatically spawned in the county’s base as the assualt class. At this point, you can login by typing in the speech box “/login” then type in your password. You can then switch classes by typing “/switchclass” and you can switch to: Demolition, sniper, mechanic or pilot. Each has its own special ability. ( for example, pilots can fly hydras and demolition can plant special bombs ). You can also switch spawn by typing in the speech box: “/switchspawn” and choose either your country’s base, area 69 or the airfield. The airfield and area 69 must be captured by your county so you can actually spawn there. After you are satisfied with your choices, you can go on and fight the opponents. Killing an opponent will give you 5000 cash and promote your score by 1. Once you reach 50 score you get rank 2 and once you reach 100 score you get rank 3. Ok, that is just one example of a server, now I’ll do another one.

“Gamer X Server” is a freeroam sever that incorporates many details of other catagories. You can buy properties, kill people randomly, join minigames such as minigun rampage, do stunts and much more. Gamer X Server is highly popular do to the massive number of mods such as increasing speed, NOS and more. It is one of the servers that is often the most with players on it during GTA SA MP peak hour.
