How Can Something So Small Hold So Much of Our Hearts?
Most of us have seen a baby in our lives. Either we have grown up with a younger sibling, or we have seen the baby of a close friend or acquaintance. How do babies influence our emotions so drastically?
As stated in the preview, this is an article about babies. How do they influence our emotions so greatly? How do they make us naturally want to nurture them and take care of them, as if by instinct? Well, that is in fact just the answer. Our brains have been programmed by nature to want to nurture, or take care of, the young of our species. It goes back to our instincts acquired ages and ages ago, since the very first humans walked the earth. Just as a mother bear watches her cubs, or a mama bird takes care of her hatchlings, human mothers and fathers are born with instinct to protect and care for their offspring.
