How to Beat Dragon Tank in Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger has been released on multiple platforms and these tips will work for whatever version you are playing. The game was originally released on the Super Nintendo, then the Sony Playstation and then for the Nintendo DS. So how do you beat Dragon Tank in Chrono Trigger?

If you read the prisoners manual then you won’t even need to read any of this. This manual tells you the secret to defeating the Dragon Tank.

The Dragon Tank in Chrono Trigger has three different parts, and they can all damage you. The Dragon Tank can shoot fire and damage your party members, it can shoot missiles, a laser beam and it can use its wheels and run over you causing a high amount of damage. You will want to use heal and use any tonics that you have to keep you in the battle.

What is your battle strategy?

You should attack the head of Dragon Tank with Chronos sword and Luccas gun. You will want to use your physical attacks for the head of the Dragon Tank. Don’t attack any other parts of the Dragon Tank right now. Keep using Chrono and Lucca to take out the head.

Now that the head is gone, you are going to need to destroy the grinder part of the boss. This is the wheel that it uses to run over Chrono and Lucca. Again, use physical attacks to take out the wheel. Now, finish off the final section of the boss. You’ll want to use the most powerful attacks that you have here. Use Lucca and Chrono along with the cyclone attack and the fire whirl attack.

Even though this is just the second boss in the game, its possible you can die without the right strategies. Read the prisoners manual before you enter the fight. And keep healing up and using these strategies. You should be able to finish off the Dragon Tank boss.
