How to Beat Lavos Spawn in Chrono Trigger
When you are at Death Peak in Chrono Trigger, you will encounter many of these Lavos Spawns. They can be a difficult foe if you don’t know the way to defeat them. Follow the tips in this article to finish off the Lavos Spawns at Death Peak.
When you are at Death Peak in the year 2300 AD in Chrono Trigger, you will come across the deadly Lavos Spawn. The head of the Lavos Spawn has 4,000 hit points and the body has 10,000 hit points. You will find three of these mini bosses when you are on Death Peak. Each battle you face can be won by following the same set of strategies.
Don’t think about attacking the body, you want to go for the head of the boss. Use your physical attacks and dual techs that only target one item. This is important. You don’t want to use duel techs that target more than one part of the enemy.
If you do, you will have to deal with a powerful counterattack by the Lavos Spawn.
When you attack the shell, the counter attack will do around 500 hit points damage to each party member. So please don’t attack the shell while you are fighting.
If you just focus on the head of the Lavos Spawn, this Chrono Trigger mini boss will be easy for you. You can deal with the hit point damage from the smaller attacks, but the shell can send deadly attacks your way.
Make use of your healing magic and items in this battle to stay alive.
The Lavos Spawn can use an attack called Chaos that can confuse the character it hits. If this happens, the confused character will attack the shell. After that, you will get a deadly counter attack. In order to help avoid this, you can equip your character with the Amulet.
Keep attacking the head of the Lavos Spawn. When you defeat the head, the entire boss will be defeated. This is another reason why you just want to keep attacking the head.
This is how you can defeat the Lavos Spawns on Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger is available for the Super Nintendo, the Nintendo DS and for the Sony Playstation. No matter what version you are playing, these strategies are the same. Check out my other Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy guides.
