How to Become Self-sustaining in Minecraft Within 2-3 Days
What to do with your first few days in Minecraft.
Day 1. Cut down several trees as usual but do not make all of the logs into planks. Collect all saplings and get seeds from any tall grass you can find. Construct a shelter and make a set of tools. Do what you like with the night or finish up if you haven’t already. If at all possible get some string, bones, and rotten flesh, but don’t die for them. Turn all of the bones into bone meal.
Day 2. Find a pool of water fairly close to your shelter and plant seeds on the grass around the water. Construct a barrier so your wheat does not get trampled by stray mobs. Also plant the saplings around it so you can have a tree farm growing with your regular farm. If you’re food bar gets low and you are forced to eat rotten flesh, eat another piece if you get food poisoning and stay still until it goes away. Food poisoning does not stack and the drumsticks replenished should outweigh the drumsticks lost if you eat two and stay still. You can speed up growth with bonemeal and fish from a fishing rod is extremely useful as a back up source of food. Go back to your shelter and start a mine. When you have 8 stone make a furnace and turn the logs you still have into charcoal if you don’t already have coal. Do what you want during the night, but more string and bonemeal is always useful. You should no longer need rotten flesh.
Day 3. Finish up anything you have not completed, and do what you want now. You might try to do the achievements or complete some objectives.
