How to Go Third Person on Half-life
If you have the original half-life there is cool trick to play it a different way.
Go into Half-Life and make sure you have console mode enabled. You can do this by putting -dev -console at the end of the hl.exe. If you have a Steam version of the game, go into keyboard advanced settings and enable console mode.
Press this key ~ to open console mode. Type developer 1 and hit enter. Then type sv_cheats 1 and hit enter. Then type thirdperson or /thirdperson depending on what version you have. Now the camera is away from his face!
To make the camera go behind his head, type sv_chase 90 and hit enter. If that doesn’t work, type sv_chase 0.
Enjoy playing Half-Life in thirdperson mode!
this works with multiplayer too.
