How to Play an Ap Carry in League of Legends
A small guide about how to play an AP carry.
An AP carry is usually a ranged mage champion that goes solo on mid lane. The key in mastering such a champion is to remember some basic things:
1. Never push your lane, only last hit the creeps in order to shut down any possibilities of being ganked.
2. Focus on the minions, not on your opponent; if you do so, you will have a bigger chance of getting more minion last hits and you will get more money, which will result in you getting your items faster, and dominating your lane.
3. Always call misses on your lane, and try to gank other lanes yourself.
If you respect those steps you will outlane your opponent and will make your team win.
Also try to choose on your champion based on what opponent you have on your lane and try to get something that counters that. Although an AP carry must be build with a maximum of damage output, try and mix your items so you get survivability on your lane and in teamfights.
Remember that you mustn’t repeat your build in every game, and you must make changes in your build depending on your opponents: if you have many physical dps buy armor, if you have many ap buy magic resist.
