How to Put Games Onto a R4 Card

An article to show you how to put games onto R4 and where to get R4.

R4 is a SD Card adapter shaped as a game cartridge for DS’s, and it absolutely brilliant.

So, where do I buy R4? Well, you can buy it from http://www.amazon.co.uk/r4kit-nds-lite-deli/dp/B0028VKPIQ/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1245859979&sr=8-13,

So once you have that, you should have firstly, a SD card adapter for a micro SD card, and some sort of SD usb adapter for your computer, or if you have a slot for SD cards just plug it in.

So once its in, take the CD you get with it, insert it, then there should be a folder called system v.(whatever version is on it)

Click on it and copy all of that data onto your SD card.

The files in system are:

So copy all them into your SD card

Then make a new folder called games.

Now once that is done, there is something called firmware, this is what needed to play the latest games, and the one on the CD is normally pretty old so not much use, but don’t worry, it’s easy to update.

First go to http://gbatemp.net/index.php?dlcategory=34.

Then find the latest firmware and download it.

Then copy all of the data downloaded on to the SD card and replace it. Then that’s done, easy. PS. if it comes as a winzip or winrar, extract it to your desktop and the copy it to the card.

Now time to download games.

Go to nip.nds-roms.com.

Find a game you want, download it.

Once that’s done copy the file into the games folder on your SD card or if it has download into a winzip or winrar extract it either onto your desktop, then copy to your card, or extract it directly to the games folder.

Then take out the SD card, take out the micro SD card from it, insert the r4 card into the DS, then insert the micro SD card, then start playing, enjoy.

Easy.
