How to Surf in Counter-Strike: Source or Team Fortress 2

Connect to a server hosting a map called surf_(name), all surf maps have surf_ in them. When your connected you will be in the “Spawn Zone” Infront of the spawn zone will be a “Ramp”, if your on the right side of the ramp, jump onto it and hold A, DO NOT PRESS W. When on the left side of the ramp, your hold D, DO NOT PRESS W. I say don’t press W because you’ll just fall off the ramp.

When surfing, you should stay at a downwards curve, and you should stay as close to the bottom of the ramp as possible. When you come to a jump, flick yourself up to the top of the ramp and adjust yourself to land you the incoming ramp at the downwards curve so you don’t lose your speed.

Rewards; When at the end of a surf you will find teleporters, portals, and sometimes doors. Upon entering these you may be given guns, advantages such as being able to see into the “Jail” or etc.

Jail; If you manage to fall off a ramp or mess up, you will be teleported to “Jail”. Jail is where you must wait to either be

A. Killed

B. Let out by Teammates

or C. Kill yourself by going into console (`) and typing Kill.

Surfing can be very fun if your good at it, some don’t like it, though, you should try it out!
