Kingdom of Loathing – The Toot Oriole

When you create an account on Kingdom of Loathing. It doesn’t matter what class you choose, you will have to do the Toot Oriole Quest. You will even have do the exact same thing!

Anyways, your first stop is to the “Mountains”, which you will find in the menu pane at the top of your page. After you go to the mountains, look at the main screen and you should see a mountain at the top with the word “Mt. Noob” on top of a small mountain. When you find it, click on it and you should a bird at the top of the mountain called “The Toot Oriole. Click on her to talk to her. She will ask you to find a pile of shiny pebbles in the “Noob Cave”. When looking back at the Mt. Noob close-up picture, you should see a cave on the side of the mountain. Click on it and you will see an adventure and the words underneath “adventure again” and “back to Mt. Noob”. Keep clicking on “adventure again” until you get an adventure called “Eureka!” Go back to Toot for the next task.

She will ask you to equip some armour. So go to your inventory by clicking on the word “Inventory” and click on the word “equipment”. The you will find a weapon and a hat or pants. Equip them and talk to Toot again. This time she will ask you to cast your skill. Click on the word “skills” in the menu pane and cast you level 1 skill. Return and she will ask you to adventure in the “Dire Warren” (which is locate on Mt. Noob) for a bunny liver. Go to the Dire Warren and kill the Fluffy Bunnies until you get the bunny liver and 40 meta (for later on in the quest). When you go to her again, she will ask you to get 40 meat. Visit her again (even if you already got 40 meat and she will tell you to go to the “Market” to buy a “chewing gum on a string”.

Click “Town” on the menu pane and then click on “Market Square” to go to the “Market Square”. Then click on the tent with the word “Demon Market” and scroll down the list to the “chewing gum on a string” and click on the circle next to the image of the “chewing gum on the string” and click buy at the bottom of the page. Go back to Toot and she will ask you to get a “worthless trinket” from the sewers in the “Market Square”. Go to the “Market Square” and click on the sewer grate with the word “Sewer” above it and you should get a “worthless trinket”. If you didn’t, go back to Toot and get another 40 meat.

Next go back to Toot and she will give you a “Hermit Permit” and ask for a “Golden Twig”. Go to the mountains and click on the cave with the words “The Hermitage” and select the circle next to the image of the “golden twig” and click the button on the bottom of the page. Go back to Toot and she will give you an “action figure body” and an “action figure head” to craft. Go to your inventory and there should be the word “Craft”. Click on it and create one “meat paste”. Then paste the action figure together. Go back Toot and you have finished the quest!
