Lana DEL REY

Lana Del Rey, is an American singer and songwriter. She has been described as a “self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra.  Was born June 21, 1986, her Debut album, Born to Die was released in 2012.

The album debuted at number 1 in many countries which also includes the United Kingdom.  The album has spawned two worldwide top 10 hits:

“Video Games”

”This what makes us Girls”

“Dark Paradise” etc.

Lana explain that her musical influences Britney Spear Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain and Eminem.  Although I had hear the track Video Games from last year. This album was not at the top of my list for 2012. This week while I was updating my music collection, I was listening the radio and heard “Video Games” again. I do have it on my MP3 but I became very curious to hear what the rest of album would sound like,  after approximately 20 min into the album. I was amazed. If you haven’t gotten this album as yet, please go get it.

Lana Del Rey has a unique way of writing. Her style and with that skill and her voice she is the next big thing. The album Born To Die is a album worth dying for every track is a  story. I’m especially in love with tracks: ” Dark Paradise”, “Summertime Sadness”, “Lucky Ones”, and ” With out You”.
