Legend of Zelda Level Six Walkthrough

So where is level 6 in The Legend Of Zelda? Well if you remember the western part of Hyrule where the lost woods is, right? Go to this area and journey through the lost woods. Now when you go to the west one screen and then go north, you will be in the graveyard. The graveyard by the lost woods is where level 6 is. You need to go out of the graveyard to the east, and the go up the blue stairs. That is where level 6 is at.

Here is a little Legend Of Zelda trick you may or may not know about. Sometimes when you are in level 6, and there is a room full of enemies, exit back to the room where you just came in from. Now go back into the enemy filled room, and you might discover there are less enemies. Sometimes when you leave a room, and come back in, the enemies there will be different and easier to beat. Try this out if your in a tough spot.

When you first enter into the Zelda level 6 level, you will see a doorway to the west and east. Take the doorway that is going east. This room is dark so you will need to use the Blue Candle to light up the room. After you light up the room, you’ll see a Wizzrobe. The Wizzrobe will shoot out waves of energy at you. If these energy waves hit you, you will lose some of your life. Carefully defeat the Wizzrobe and get the key after defeating it.

If you noticed when the room was lit up, there is a door going to the north that is locked. Go ahead and use the key to unlock this north door. In here is the famous old man that is throughout this first Legend Of Zelda game. He will give you advice on the boss and says to you “Aim at the eyes of Gohma”. You should already know this though, as the previous Ghoma had to be defeated in the same way.

Now go back to the entrance room and unlock the door that is going west. You should have plenty of keys leftover from the previous levels. Now in this room there will be four Wizzrobes. Defeat all of the Wizzrobes and get any items that are left after defeating them. Now these Wizzrobes can be taken out using your magical sword. If you have your full life, you can use your flying swords to defeat them in one hit. Go north into the next level 6 room. In here will be five Zol enemies.

After you defeat all of the Zols in this room, you will get the compass. The compass will tell you where the triforce is in level 6. Now you want to leave the room and go to the northern doorway. After going north into the next room, you will see statues that can shoot out fireballs. This room is also full of the Keese bats. You can use your boomerang to defeat all of the Keese. You need to defeat all of them, because you will get another key after they are all gone. Pick up the key and go north into the next room.

In this room are three sets of the blade traps. If you go up to them very carefully, without getting in their path, they will come across the room and not hit you. You need to just move up really really slow, and this will activate them and get them moving. Move past all three sets carefully and go north into the next room.

The next room is very dangerous and is filled with many different enemies. In this room you will find Wizzrobes and the Like Likes. The Like Like enemies look like squishing pancakes and can take away your Magic Shield. The Magic Shield is the “Big” shield that you can get in this Legend Of Zelda game. Your strategy here in this room should be to defeat the Wizzrobes first, and then go after the Like Likes. If you don’t defeat the Wizzrobes first, there is a chance to be knocked into a Like Like and you will lose your big shield.

Also watch out for the magic bubble that can stun you and cause you to not be able to use your sword. After you finish off the enemies, you will need to push the block that is furthest to the left. The two shut doors will now be open. Go through the shut door, that is now open, that is heading to the north.

This next room will be full of Wizzrobes. Don’t stay in one place for to long as they all constantly move around. Move Link around the room and use your Magic Sword to kill them all off. If you’ve got any potions, you might want to consider using one now. When you’ve got full life, you can use your flying swords to kill the Wizzrobes. Here is a word of warning. Don’t go through the north door. If you do, you will need to face a mini boss Gleeok. This is the three headed dragon. Collect the rupies from the Wizzrobes and set a bomb directly in the middle of the eastern wall. Now you could bomb this as soon as you walk in here, but you’ll miss the rupies.

Now bomb the eastern wall, and go into this next room. Now defeat the Wizzrobes here and collect the key. There will be a rectangular lava in the room, you will need to use the ladder to get the key. Now use the key and go into the northern room.

Now you are going to want to defeat all of the enemies here. Defeat the two Like Likes and the Zols to get the dungeon map. Use a key to unlock the northern door and go into this next room. This room is full of Wizzrobes. Carefully defeat them all and then push the left block. A secret set of stairs will appear. Take the set of stairs to get the treasure of this dungeon, the Magic Rod. Now leave the cellar and go to the last room.

Go south one room and use your ladder to cross the lava.  Cross the lava to the door going east. Now after going through the east door, you will see that the room is dark. Use your Blue Candle to light up the room and then defeat all of the enemies here. Get the key and go through the door that is going east. This room will be full of more Like Like enemies and Wizzrobes. Defeat them all and go through the door that is going north. In here will be another Legend Of Zelda old man who will tell you “There are secrets where fairies don’t live”.

Now go back down south and then go west two rooms. After going west two rooms, take the door to the south and go through it. This is the room where you defeated Wizzrobes to get the key before, but now it should be empty. Continue going south. Go through the south door. Level 6 in Zelda is very difficult, and it would be in your best interest to buy the most powerful potion that you can get, the Red potion.

Now you will need to light up this room with the Blue Candle, and it will be full of the vampire like enemies, the Vires. These enemies are not too difficult, defeat all five of them in this room. In this room is one block, more Wizzrobes, Like Likes and the stun bubble. Carefully defeat all of the enemies and try not to touch the stun bubble. After you’ve defeated the enemies, push the block in the room. A secret set of stairs will be revealed. Take the set of stairs, and you will go into another area of the level 6 dungeon.

In this next room, defeat the Like Likes and the Zols, and go to the south. You will need to use your Blue Candle again. This room has Vires in it and stun bubbles. Defeat the Vires. After you defeat all of the Vires, a key will appear. Pick up the key and do into the west door. First of all, do not go south. There is nothing in the southern room. If you go in, there is a room full of Wizzrobes, and the door will lock behind you after you go in. Don’t go south, just stay in the room your are at.

Watch out for the blade traps. Carefully go up to the north door that is locked and activate the blade traps. Move back down quickly to avoid getting hit. When the blades are slowly moving back into their position, unlock the north door and go inside. Inside this room is the Legend Of Zelda level 6 boss.

The boss of level 6 is Ghoma. You fought Ghoma before, but this one is a little stronger that the first. Just like the first Ghoma, this one is immune to your sword. You can’t hurt Ghoma with your flying swords, or by striking your sword directly at him. Equip your bow and arrows and fire an arrow in the eye of Ghoma when he opens his eye. You will need to keep moving around the room to avoid the fireballs that are coming at you. When he opens his eye quickly go directly in front of him, and fire a straight shot into his eye. After you put a few arrows into his eye, he will be defeated. Collect the heart container, and go into the north room for the Triforce piece.
