New Final Fantasy Title Announced
After the rather poor reception of Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix decided to try a different approach to the next game in the long series. Instead of a Final Fantasy XV followup, a spin-off of Final Fantasy XIII is being made, titled FF XIII-2.
Not too much is known about this new title, except that a trailer has been released and that the release date for the United States is this coming winter season while Japan gets it earlier this year.
Square Enix has spoken about the game, saying that it will feature a new story, an “evolved” combat system, the return of many characters from the original FF XIII. Along with this release title they gave a little morsel for fans to chew on until more juicy details arrived on the plate.

After the terrible scores the MMORGP FF XIV got (averaging 50% and below by many critics), Square Enix is looking to bring back what draws Final Fantasy fans back again and again – sweeping epic tales mixed with a unique world and style that features excellent plots. Will this new title be able to accomplish what its predecessor didn’t?
