New Mechwarrior Game to be Released

If you have been a fan of the mechwarrior series of games you will be please to know that the game is making a comeback with a new game simply called Mechwarrior.  The game will take the player back to the classic Battletech era before the clans arrived.

The game will take place on the planet Deshler in 3015.  The game will feature a lot of urban combat will a fully destructible environment that includes glass breaking, and building destruction.  Mechs will be able to land on buildings if the building is strong enough to support the weight of the mech.  If the building is destroyed with a mech on top of it the mech will be destroyed too.

The HUD of each mech will be improved with visible switches and dials and even the mechwarriors hand will be visible moving the controls around.  It is not known the exact number of mechs that will ship with the game, but the Warhammer,  Jenner, and Atlas are believed to be included judging from the videos released.

The mechwarrior will be able to scout out the battlefield by using a drone that can be shot up into the air and provide recon information before the mechwarrior enters an area.  This is a concept that has never been done in any of the previous mechwarrior games.

The game will also feature many of the simulation elements of previous games including heat management and a new feature which is the ability to eject with a chute visible.

There will be a  single player campaign as well as multiplayer with co-op play.  There may even be a conquest style multiplayer mode.  The game will be available on the PC and XBox 360.
