Nick’s Pick’s: 12 Great PS2 for Under 10 Bucks

It hard to shell out three or four –hundred dollars for the latest gaming system that comes out, It’s difficult to find good games that have entertainment value for a fair price. I have made a  list of games that are fun and pretty cheap to pick up used at your local game store. I’ll have a hard time believing if you don’t find these following games fun, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Gran Turismo 4

 If you are into racing games and like a challenge then Gran Turismo is right up your ally. You have more than five-hundred cars from actual manufactures to pick from, and about a hundred tracks to race them on. It is the most realistic racing game I have ever played; I can sit there for hours and play it. I picked up my copy from EB Games for about ten bucks, and it is worth every cent I paid. On a scale of one to ten, I give it a 9.5.

 Resident Evil 4

Let me start off by saying Resident Evil 4 is one of the greatest games I have ever played. We join Leon in Europe, who is trying to find the presidents kidnapped daughter. From the start of the game it is non-stop action, Creatures trying to attack you from every direction. And you have a very cool aiming system, every weapon has laser sights, so you can zone in on the head shot to take enemies down quickly. Once again I picked up my copy an EB Games for about ten bucks, I highly recommend this game it’s a ten out of ten.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon 

Midway has come out with many great mortal kombat games over the years; this one is the best MK title to date. You can choose from more than fifty of your favorite MK characters, there is also a create-a-fighter mode. There is a great Konquest mode where you complete challenges and progress through the story mode. I picked up this title up at EB Games for about nine bucks; I give this game an eight out of ten.

King’s Field: The Ancient City

I ran across this game when I was looking through a game bin at EB one day. I looked at the back and then looked at the price and decided to give it a try. The game was only six bucks, and for the price it one of the best games I have ever played. If you are a fan of the Oblivion series, then you will enjoy this game. You can explore forty different areas where you fight monsters and find weapons, armor and etc. I would strongly recommend picking this up if you come across it.

WWX Rumble Roses

All right, I would not really call this a ground breaking game but if you are a male you will love it. This is a all women wrestling game, the best part there is a mud wrestling match and they wear bikinis. Yes that is right, a mud wrestling match. I picked this game up at EB for like Five bucks, I give it a nine out of ten.

Just Cause

            Just Cause is a great game. It is a sandbox game, you run around in 250,000 acres of jungles, mountains and beaches. You are a Latin operative who runs around and fights a corrupt Latin government, it is a blast. I picked this up an EB Games for like ten bucks, I recommend this title for gamers who like sandbox games like the GTA series. I give this game a eight out of ten.

Blitz The League

Football fans feeling left-out? Here is a game for when you need a break from madden or you NCAA dynasty. Need some dirty hits and blood and guts, then Blitz-The League is a refreshing burst of air. Blitz has a great story mode, and realistic injuries, and the best thing is you don’t have to listen to madden babble. I picked this game up at EB Games for seven bucks, I give this game a nine out of ten, its worth picking up.

Superman Returns: The Video game

            Superman Returns is a very good game. But, it is only for hardcore superman fans. If you follow superman comics or movies then I don’t think you will like this game. This game is awesome you can fly around Metropolis and fight villains and protect the city. I picked this game up for ten bucks; I give it a score of eight out of ten.

GUN

              This game is a must play for PS2. I picked up my copy of the game for game cube; I can only imagine playing this game with a playstation controller. This game is a blast, riding around in the lawless west, exploring all the different areas of game play. Blowing up stuff and using an arsenal of different weapons, it is a must have. I picked up my copy at EB Games for nine bucks. I give it a ten out of ten.

Summer Heat Beach Volleyball

            This might seem like a cheesy game at first, but if you like beach volleyball, than this game is for you. This game will send you to twelve different locations where your bikini girls battle it out in beach volleyball. The volleyball system is great; this game will challenge you to find different ways to score points. I picked my copy up at EB Games for Five bucks. It is a great game, your girlfriend might enjoy playing it, and I give it a ten out of ten.

Total Overdose

I soon as I popped this game into my PS2 I was instantly having fun. This game is a cross between Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto, and the story line is great. There are over fifteen different areas to explore. There is a slow-mo feature, you can fly through the air doing barrel rolls and shooting enemies, it is sweet. I picked this game up at EB and I give it a ten out of ten. Trust me, get this game.

Oni

            Oni is one action packed game. From the 3D graphics to the hand-to-hand combat fighting system, it is a must have. You play as Konoko an elite cop that fight crime in style. The controls are a little tricky, but once you master them you will love this game. I picked my copy up at GameStop for three bucks. I give it a ten out of ten, and the best game for the price. You will play this game over and over, I strongly recommend picking up a copy today!
