How video games and television are ruining America.

Not long ago a co-worker of mine was bragging that he had just bought his son some new state of the art video game that had cost him a bundle. I told him that my kids did not own any kind of video games at all. He looked at me like I was lying to him.
My co-worker then told me that a parent had to buy their kids those games now days or the kids would have absolutely nothing to do. Her stated that kids no longer play out side. Is this what parents really think? Because mine do. I do not like kids sitting in front of the TV. All day and I would never let them do nothing but play those games all day.
I do not believe that kids; can not have just as much fun playing outside, getting a little exercise and breathing in a little fresh air. I did all kinds of thing when I was a kid and my children also find things to do that are a heck of a lot more fun than sitting inside all day and night pushing buttons and not really doing anything at all but wasting their lives, and rotting their brains.
I firmly believe that the television and video games are two of the worst things that have ever happened to the American family. Sure sitting down a couple hours and watching a good show or a movie does not hurt anyone, but when the family gets like most I know and the television becomes more important than the conversation in the family; things have gone to far and the American family has to change or they will lose touch with each other.
My children like to play outside; remember bicycles my kids own those and honest they actually ride them, and that is the truth no lie. I think that each one of my kids has at one time or another has built a fort in the woods nearby, and they make snow forts in the winter, no video games needed. How about they they just go for an old fashioned walk or find some other kids that are able to hang around outside.
All I want to do is wake people up. They are not being good to kids when they buy them those videos, most promote violence, and make people waste their lives. When you are dying do you want to be able to look at a life that you did things or a wasted life that the most you did was push some buttons.
