Omgpop Swapples – Ultimate Guide (Studying My Game Play)
I have studied my game play and have written a guide on how to score as many points as possible with my research and experience. This article is filled with tips and the mechanics of the Swapples game on OMGPOP.com.
We don’t care about level, experience and achievements in this article, as these will be achieved as the game is played. All we care about is WINNING! We will focus on how the game awards points and you may therefore discover strategies that you can create yourself from understanding these key aspects of the game.
Swapples is a game like bejewelled and has a default game time of 1 minute it can be played on http://www.OMGPOP.com and if you are a new player, make sure to make an account so that you save your high score and experience points.
There will always be those who are better than you at the game, and we must accept this, but to maximise my potential I wanted to understand how the game worked. While I am lower than level 25 at swapples, I can still often defeat those who are above level 50 or even more than level 100. But then there are those that are level 20 or as low as level 1 that are worthy competitors. It’s just the nature of this game, you are rewarded by how much you play, the level you are does not at all define your skill.
My method of research will be recording my game play of Swapples for 10 matches that I have just completed and I will find answers to the 10 categories that define the game and discuss them so we understand how to make decisions while playing and also use my personal experience to give tips on how to win. In this test video I had a rotation of around 10 opponents and won 9 gold + 1 silver.
Each game seems to end so quickly so who has time to realise how much they are rewarded? Well I have created a handy chart which I am 95% sure is accurate. I am going to categorise these points into 10 levels, each level advances when you make a swap of 3 gems, so that a chain is formed. When the music that plays breaks, the chain brakes and you start again at “level 1” from a scoring perspective. If you continuously score 12 moves without breaking, you will for example, be at the max level scoring the level 10 amount of points. This all assumes that you are simply swapping 3 gems. We will get more into advanced scoring soon.
In the Chart Above, you can see that there are 5 multiplier levels against the level of each sound / chain level. Multipliers are the things that you want as soon as possible, if one appears on the board, make sure that you focus on getting it, as all gems that you collect after multipliers are collected, that contribute to a massive difference your final score. For example, at level 1 multiplier 1, the starting points are 25, while at level 1, multiplier 5, the starting points are 175.
