On Flash Games 53 – Defend Your Honor!

Tower defence and humor?

Greetings, dear readers. It’s before Triond’s ten-o’clock (pacific standard time, you!) cutoff that I squeeze in the fifty-third episode of On Flash Games. Our joker in this deck is a game published by Armor Games, called “Defend Your Honor!” (here on Kongregate, you know the drill.) It’s more-or-less a tower defense game, but there’s an intertwining plot, of you, the Elven Mage, attempting to go out and do something with yourself, and “do something” being fetching the walrus statues for the walrus king. Hm. Both the game’s action and and cutscenes are animated in the same style, which is reminescent of a (fairly obsene, viewer discretion advised) webcomic called “Cyanide & Happiness“. While I found the game to be a decent tower defense game, and the absurd humor to be funny. The interface of the game was very annoying, however – how many times must a man click a button, before his command is made? The answer my friend, is bashing on the mouse, the answer is bashing on the mouse. 3/5 for borderline playability.
