Adventures of Tinger

If you like your games cute and funny with a darker edge that only the Europeans seem to be able to get just right then try Tinger.  He is a Bavarian Wolpertinger, which is a mythical creature living in the Bavarian woods.  His best friend is a living piece of meat, the last of the “leberkaes”.  Unfortunately, being a very rare piece of meat (couldn’t help it, sorry!), he is kidnapped by the Bavarian meat-mafia.  Well, he would be, wouldn’t he!  Your job is to rescue Kaes from the factory before he is turned in to some tasty German sausage!  You have a choice of languages – English or German.  If you don’t speak German don’t worry, but that option is the most fun!

The Secret Device

This game is billed as an Alternative Reality Experience but isn’t one of those clever clever games that you should avoid!  The site is part story, part mystery, part puzzle and you have to pull all three strands together to successfully unlock the secret device.  This particular ARG is completely free, even though you do have to join the community in order to play it properly.  That would be advisable anyway – unless you enjoy a challenge, don’t go here!

Spit it out Adventure

This is a straightforward game, with some great graphics to give a laugh or maybe even produce a guffaw.  Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, you are the secret agent who must catch unsuspecting gum chewers.  Then, once caught, you can do a quick extraction or a group extraction, using one of a variety of your colleagues.  Mindless this may be, but you can while away an afternoon without realizing with this game.  Not too hot on the interactive game play, this one, but the flash animation certainly helps it along!

You Be The Driver

Do you have what it takes to be a BMW Sauber Formula One driver?  Find out here!  This game will really test your reaction speed and your psychomotor skills and as such is not for the faint hearted.  If you enjoy a challenge and are not too frustrated at being told that you have failed (again and again from my perspective!) then you can build up your speed skills here and really get in to the game.  Lovely crisp graphics but your machine should be high spec enough to take a download battering!

Kiss Fight

The first rule of Kiss Fight is….  you must be a lover, not a fighter!  If you are not averse to a little parody then the Kiss Fight game is probably something that might entertain and amuse you – at least for a while!  Instead of pummeling your opponents to death it is up to you to kiss them in to submission.  The game play is simple – your arrow keys and the ‘K’ button on your keyboard.  Your first date is a Japanese girl called Ti Ni Lips and you can, if your are adept enough, kiss her at all sorts of strange angles.  From there it gets harder!  With the characters based on real actors who feature before each level this is a beautifully put together game – especially as it is free!

Weather

Are you an environmentalist? No?  How about an armchair environmentalist?  More like you? With this game you can save the planet from the comfort of your machine and not get your feet wet or hands dirty.  It is in Portuguese and English so make sure you click the right language first, though, otherwise you will easily get lost!  This multiplayer strategy game gives you the opportunity to fight climate change while not doing anything in particular.  Great graphics and lots of fun to be had for eco-minded strategy nuts!

Flugtag Flight Lab

If you are easily addicted to something then the best advice would be to clear away from this site!  You can build your own man powered plane here.  The default designs can be easily modified so you can create any sort of monstrosity that you like.  Then, you can see how well your baby flies when you launch!  Most of the time you will en dup in the water, but if you get the aerodynamics right perhaps you can be the first to discover the secret of man-powered flight!

Food For Thought

If you have youngish children who are bored with all their current games and the wallet is empty, then they will enjoy – and learn – from this one!  Produced by the British Heart Foundation, this is a 3D environment where players can choose from a selection of avatars to discover some facts about junk food while playing on the PC.  Although it hardly encourages the kids to go out and enjoy the sunshine, it does at least have a sound purpose at its heart!

Puzzle Road

Lots of challenges here for the more peace loving gamers.  There are a multitude of puzzles here and more than a little wisdom.  Wonderful photographs can do truly weird things!  If you are looking for a game experience with no violence and more than a little karma than try this one!

Streaker

Have you always had that show off streak in you but never really had the get up and go to, well, get ‘em off?  With this game you can fulfill all those secret desires to be a streaker and crash a variety of sports events.  Warning – this game is very, very silly!
