Sorry for the multiple post, but another glitch I find similar to Farmville is that if you trap your waiter/waitress and cook, the serving and cooking process will be faster because you don’t have to waste time walking around.

You can trap them by surrounding your stoves and counters around the waiter/waitress and cook. Make sure the handle of the stove is accessible to the cook and the opening of the counter is accessible to the waiter/waitress.

Can you write a guide for the best items based on build-time? I like making cheeseburgers, but sometimes I want to sleep and need build an 8 hour food item. But which one is best for money or experience points?

The reason I agree with removing the door when running low on food is because, as your buzz rate lowers so does the number of customers who come in you cafe lower.

Think maybe they removed the option to delete the dish while its cooking? Because all it says to me is that the dish is still cooking and to wait until its finished.

You don’t need more than one waiter. All you need is to trap the waiter. And boom. Like magic, your trapped serve will just throw away the food to your guest as if they are frisbees! This is really fun.

Sorry Guys! Ill get to it, and my waiters..(all 3) are all trapped :o

  18. Torch
    Posted November 18, 2009 at 10:49 pm

Ypu say trap the waiters. does not work for me. I created a square surrounded by tables with the serving counters inside. Even if I change it WHILE the waiters are inside, when I come out of the change they are all standing outside and never move. Everyone sits there then leaves after not being served!!

Block ur waiter in and they will instendly Deliver the food

  20. Joe
    Posted November 22, 2009 at 4:06 pm

Trapping the waiters does work. You might have to change the configuration around a bit to get it to work. If your customers are not being served, change the tables around, try blocking the waiters with potted plants, etc.

As far as removing the doors, this is pointless. Your buzz rating does not go up or down if you are not logged into the game. If you are out of food, just close the game and come back when your food is ready to be served. Your buzz rating will be the same as when you left.

  21. jay
    Posted November 28, 2009 at 11:55 am

0ok so here it is i do not suggest you take off the doors when you are gone but i do suggest as a start off point you remove them until you have a ridiculous amount of food and if you do it right it will be while you have a great buzz rating, end result, as soon as you open the doors your place is packed and your food sells quick in one day you can get rid of 6000 servings of roast chicken i know i’ve done it i do this till my food is depleted and then i close down and reup every 2-3 days and my level has gone all the way up to 25 in 2 weeks!!!!!!

few things. 1.post of ‘Think maybe they removed the option to delete the dish while its cooking? Because all it says to me is that the dish is still cooking and to wait until its finished.’. that only appears when you’re cooking a short time frame food. and it should say that as well.
    2. if the people aren’t eating. they want a menu item that is not out on your tray(s). cook different foods, desert, food, snack. bacon cheeseburger-food/ chips’n quacomole-snack/ triple berry cheesecake-desert. mix it up. don’t keep all one snack or like foods. moving tables/chairs/cook/waiter/waitress won’t matter. but is best to ‘trap’ them. at least then you won’t lose money and a serving while your ‘attendant’ is walking towards them with their food and they get up to leave JUST as they reach the table.
    3. and last. this game has no coins per hour to it. so all that info up top is completely and utterly useless. farmville has coins per hour because as soon as you harvest. you collect. cafe world, you do not collect the money until it has been served and eaten. how long that takes is anyone’s guess. but if you make nothing but bacon cheeseburgers, you’re losing money from all the customers that want something else. not to mention rating on top of that.
P.S. will mess with the door idea and see what happens.

Wondering if anyone knows what the ‘SPOIL’ time is on the different dishes? Seems like I look at my stoves 1 or 2 min. after a dish is done cooking and the foods already spoiled on me. seems like food would stay longer on the stove than getting cold sitting on a plate. oh well. any info would be great. thx.

    Posted December 4, 2009 at 9:46 am

remove doors when ur out of food. you won’t lose buzz and it gives you as much time as u need to make food.

don’t spend all your money on deco or expansions, u need it for food

  25. CJ
    Posted December 5, 2009 at 4:41 am

Removing the door does make a difference! If you run out of food, it doesn’t stop people from entering your cafe, and if they don’t get served, your Buzz Rating goes down. When your Buzz Rating goes down, less people come into your cafe = less money. I usually remove it when I know I won’t have enough food while I’m away.

Like Chef said, don’t spend all your money on decorations, but expansions are vital. Your Buzz Rating also goes down if people come into your cafe but it’s full. That’s why you expand so you have more tables to seat more customers.

For the people who say that trapping your employees doesn’t work, yeah it could be a number of things. I have my stoves along the edge of the left side (the side with no wall), and block them off with the counters. Haven’t had any problems with it.

Take advantage of the free taste sites. This assists when you are running low on food.
Block the chef & waiters in by arranging the tables in a square. My buzz went from around 10 to constantly being on a 105.
Do not obstruct doorways, remove light fittings off walls, do not have too many obstacles in the way.

Trapping the waiters does work but only if you do it CORRECTLY. The opening of the counters must face your waiters. And the waiters must be able to reach all counters. You cannot stack the counters two deep or your waiters won’t be able to reach them (though you CAN stack your stoves two deep) Watch to see what food is being served and what is not… if it’s on your counter and not being served, its usually because the waiter can’t get to it… change things around to allow the waiters to reach. Also… the tables in the cafe must be arranged so that the waiter (if they weren’t trapped) could navigate. Treat it as though by trapping them you were making “phantom” waiters and you’ll have more success.

    Posted January 3, 2010 at 4:54 am

Curious George: Food spoils in the same amount of time it needed to cook. So if you have something that cooks in 5 minutes, it’ll spoil in 5 minutes after its done cooking. Try cooking something that takes longer so you’ll have more time to get it off the stove. Once off the stove it won’t spoil.

Joe: If you have no food and you have customers your buzz rating WILL go down. I have gone from 90 to 5 in a single night, even though I had closed the game and logged out of Facebook entirely. Removing your door(s) prevents this. The game goes on, whether you are there to observe it or not.

From what I learned on the Cafe World forum, you only need 18 tables/chairs. Eighteen is the max number of customers the game handles per minute. I remove my doors when I don’t have any food to serve and am currently “cooking.” This keeps your buzz level from dropping. There is a way to set up your cafe so you have a constant 105 buzz rating, without trapping your waiters.

  33. James
    Posted January 26, 2010 at 5:23 am

Trap your waiters to serve food in the speed of light. It does work for me. Removing the dooor helps. When you completed a dish you just put it on the counter. I wont spoil unless u put it on the stove accumilate until 99999 servings than open your cafe. Your level will shoot up very quickly. My friend told me this and i tried it out. Me from level 10 to 16!!! Thats damn high!!!

    Fasteddy,

The point of maximizing coins per hour is in the cooking time, not the actual collection of coin. What it provides is a way to measure efficiently using the time you are actually at the keys.

I am not concerned at all at how much coin actually comes in. I care that if I only have an hour at keys, what can I cook to bring in the highest amount of coin.

I will set up the long hour cook item just before I go afk for the long periods.

  38. kconomiksIzFun
    Posted April 3, 2010 at 4:16 pm

I meant I’m not concerned at how slow the collection happens, I’m just concerned with generating the highest coin per hour while at keys.

If it takes two days for the food to sell, so be it. It’s still the highest gold I can make in that hour.

  39. Posted April 21, 2010 at 9:08 am

You asked for questions: My Cafe World waitpeople has stopped working. I fired them and rehired. I have moved the tables into a U shape. They still just stand there and my buzz tanks to 5.0. What can I do????
