Champions Online – Secret Tutorial Missions

During the MC (Millennium City) Tutorial there are several hidden missions, some offer great exp, others open up items/missions in the future. Below is a guide for each quest and any relevant information

Mission 1 -  Student Buddies

NPC Name – Melanie

Turn In – Breanna Biselle

Start Location – West of the first SOCRATES terminal

Reward – 400 exp, 28 bronze.

When the mayor asks you to go and collect two items just west of him (Mayor’s Memento’s), there is a civilian the other side of the building. You can grab both the items and jump out the big broken windows to reach the npc quickly. Once you speak to her you have to escort her back to the mayor.

Mission 2 – Urbanites Incapacitated

NPC Name – N/A, Quest is given based on location. Stand near Chief Surnoff to be able to select the quest

Turn In – Chief Surhoff

Start Location – Chief Surhoff’s general area

Reward -  1,300 exp. 35 bronze.

This mission can be completed very quickly, directly south of where you get the quest you will find several civilians trapped under large debris, destroy the debris or pick it up (Default key Z) to free them. You must free three of them to complete the quest.

Mission 3 - Cat-astrophe

NPC Name – N/A, Quest is given by clicking a flashy cat box and then selecting the item in your inventory

Turn In – Martha Reece, you will be bought to her location if you follow the normal tutorial quest line.

Start Location – South of Chief Surhoff, down an alleyway

Reward – 80 exp, 3 bronze

NPC Name – Foxbat, collect the quest by freeing him from the debris

Turn In – Automatic once completed

Start Location – The water fountain near the Urbanites Incapacitated quest, behind a fenced wall.

Reward – 80 exp, 2 bronze, Foxbat Limited Use Gun

Free him from the debris and grab the quest. A very short distance to the west there is a small flashing container, interact with the container to complete the quest.

Mission 5 – Speed In Need

NPC Name – N/A, Quest is collected from a police radio

Turn In – Automatic upon completion

Start Location – A very short distance NW from the foxbat weapon container

Reward – 1,300 exp. 33 bronze. 1 objective towards meet the champions perk.

Head north from the police radio, around the left side of the building in front of you. You will see a strange red cage like object, either destroy the door or interact with it to free Kinetik

As the game stands at the moment there are a few levels where you will find yourself running out of quests, the best way to avoid this is to always do more than you need to when you have the chance. The tutorial is a perfect example of this. Kill every mob you encounter while questing, especially the villain+ ranked mobs. At the end of the tutorial you will encounter your very first Open Mission. These missions don’t need to be collected or turned in at npc’s, you get the mission just by being in a certain place and will automatically get rewarded if you’re at the location upon the completion of the mission. The reward system at the moment is based upon DPS (Damage per second) so do as much damage as you can and you will receive better exp and rewards at the end. To obtain your reward go behind the large cannon at the end of the quest, to the flashing circle.
