Escape From Crimson Room Review
This is a Game Review of the Free online Game Escape From Crimson Room. Reviewed by the Avid Gamer Spores, For Avid Gamers.
Although released in 2004, Fas-cos’ Crimson Room has stayed a popular star amongest the “Point and Click Mystery” genre. Following the steps of similar games, such as Myst, you are equipped with only an inventory menu and your brain power to solve the games mysteries.
You awake in a room with red wash walls. You don’t remember how you got there, but you’d best remember how to escape. This is the tone and concept of the Crimson Room, as well as the continuation of the series.
With your mind as your main tool it hard to imagine how such a game could generate so much fun. The secret behind Crimson Room is the eerie mood and “out of the box” puzzles that game consist of. Most answers may be obvious, but even to the seasoned gamer obvious becomes a tedious concept to deal with.
However the depth of some puzzles may turn off the average gamer who doesn’t have the time to figure out the harder aspects. Often I found myself hovering over my Google search bar for answers, only to pull back and try one more combination. This obviously affects game play and takes away from doing it yourself, yet don’t feel ashamed if you need help on a puzzle.
For some, there just may not be an Escape from the room. For others you can sign an Escapers List and see how long it took you, and even compare with others world Wide, making replay a possibility.
Not only are you having fun, but you’re actually learning and gaining brain power from the whole experience! If all of this doesn’t get you motivated to get locked in a room just to find the way out, then perhaps the fact that this is a free game. Not Enough? It’s an on going series! It can be found online here , Enjoy!
